So, how does this change now that we know who is not going to be here next year and who is coming in? I took out Moss and added a few I thought wouldn't redshirt.

I like that update. I'm super excited to see Stanton and Mikale Wilbon next season on offense. Wilbon of course has quite the group of backs already ahead of him so it will be interesting to see what goes on there. It will be interesting to see how this defensive group plays too. They'll have some continuity despite being young. I think time played together goes a long way so I'm excited to see how our DL plays this year after one year under their belts. I think we'll be o.k. at defensive back and linebacker too.

I don't care what anybody says - that pitch to newby in the msu game was not catchable. almost all of TA's option pitches are terrible. I don't know how ameer catches them, but it's nothing short of miraculous that he does. the pitch on the winning td in the the big house might have been the worst I have ever seen.

That pitch in the Big house the worst you've seen? I love these cases where two people watching the same thing come to completely different conclusions. That pitch was masterful. There were 3 Michigan players between Tommy and the goal line that were focused purely on Abdullah. They were simply waiting for Tommy to pitch it to him. Tommy nearly pitched the ball but instead faked it and hesitated. He hesitated just long enough where specifically #57 for Michigan, and a couple other Michigan defenders, sucked in closer to Tommy. At that point, Abdullah had gone past Armstrong and Tommy pitched it forward perfectly. Tommy couldn't have played it any better than he did and I thought it was a great example of that playmaker ability he brings to the position. Can't wait to see more next season.

Any likelihood Maliek Collins passes up Curry for that DT starting spot?

I don't think so. Curry was really solid and working his way up last year - was ahead of VV part of the time.

I like Collins, but honestly, I love the potential of every one of them. We get that other DE spot locked down and I am very excited about the DL.

I would disagree, there is a chance. Collins was pushing through the depth chart like it was nothing from after the Iowa game through the UGA game. But it won't matter because our top 4 DT's will play about the same amount. However I like the pair of VV and Curry, then Maurice and Collins....just like to match a massive run-stopper (VV and Maurice), with a athletic DT (Curry and Collins).

Barring a complete disaster I highly doubt there is a chance Wilbon won't RS next year.

I would tend to agree but it's surprising to me how few of our RBs redshirt. Taylor was about the second one in the last 12 years or something like that. But it would probably to good for him to redshirt.

Newby's drop was "catchable" in that it was possible to be caught but it was a poor pitch.

I think the Michigan game was two separate sets of circumstances. The final TD play was a GREAT play by TA - and there was nothing wrong with that "pitch" (technically a pass). Prior to that, every one of his option pitches was high, hard and behind AA - basically the worst combination you can have for a pitch. I was very impressed that AA was able to come down with each one of them - it would have been very easy to drop one. Thus it didn't surprise me when TA came out the next game and did the same thing to Newby and he didn't come up with it.

I agree, but with 4 scholarship guys ahead of him...one being an All-American Heisman canidate, I am not sure he would ever get a touch.

I agree about the possible redshirt and I thought about that too. So much talent ahead of him which isn't a knock on him. We're just stacked at running back. It will be fun to see how that turns out.
