JTrain
2013 North Dakota State has a good claim to the best FCS team of all-time: National Champions 15-0 Won at Kansas State Ranked 23rd in Sagarin pre-bowl Ranked 20th in Massey pre-bowl Ranked 35th in the AP poll pre-bowl They beat four very good teams in the playoffs by scores of 38-7, 48-14, 52-14 and 35-7. Paul in WI
On top of that, Craig Bohl is just a very impressive coach and mentor. Wyoming is very lucky. Quote Link to comment
Landlord
Nebraska - the school with the greatest D1 dynasty of all time. Now also the school responsible for the man behind the greatest D1-A dynasty of all time. Who do we have in the DII ranks? Quote Link to comment
mrandyk
This year's NDSU team was in all likelihood the greatest FCS team ever. They returned almost every player from the repeat championship team, and did not disappoint. It will be interesting to see how NDSU does without Bohl, but I don't think anyone else here cares about MVFC football like I do. Quote Link to comment
Micheal
Wyoming got one of the coaching hires of the year in my opinion, will be exciting to see what Bohl does with the Pokes. Maybe setting up for a Devaney-esque jump from Wyoming to Nebraska? Not necessarily as a head coach but. Quote Link to comment
VA Husker Fan
Pretty good blog on the "best FCS team ever" question, though the author is from Fargo so probably has some bias. Still, it talks about a couple of other contenders, like 1996 Marshall with Randy Moss and former Florida QB Eric Kresser, and 1989 Georgia Southern. http://kfgo.com/blogs/the-pinto-and-white-shadow-show-blog/983/best-ever/ Quote Link to comment

I honestly expected Bohl to stay in Fargo until he retired, but if he was going to leave Wyoming surely wasn't the job that was going to lure him away. An upper-tier MAC or lower-tier Big Ten job were not out of the question for him. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
So the deal is, Bo sticks around for another year or two while Bohl gets his feet wet in D1A, and then we poach the Wyoming coach - again - on our return to glory. Is that how this works? 1 Quote Link to comment
VA Husker Fan
My guess is that when Bohl gets his feet wet, we find out he's gone in head first and is totally submerged. My guess is that he goes about 27-33 in 5 years and people pretend that they never dreamed of him coming here. I could be wrong but I'll go on record with this. Quote Link to comment

mrandyk
He's gonna have a rough year next year I think I think anyone would. Wyoming just doesn't seem to be a place that anyone can succeed at. Quote Link to comment
