Mavric
Gregory says Maliek Collins is the most improved player on the DLine. Collins often staying after practice to get in extra work. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Natter still slowed by a bum knee. Probably part of the reason why others - Collins and Newby - are getting more reps at DE. Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
Natter still slowed by a bum knee. Probably part of the reason why others - Collins and Newby - are getting more reps at DE. Multiple LB'ers are working at DE in pash rushing situations. Newby went 3 for 3 getting to the QB today in drills. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Brian Christopherson @HuskerExtraBC 15m #Husker D-line was pretty nasty today. Gregory, Collins, Valentine, McMullen. All playing downhill. Quote Link to comment
Stumpy1
Is Kaz having that big of an impact on the Dline or is Bo turning them loose and attacking? Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
Is Kaz having that big of an impact on the Dline or is Bo turning them loose and attacking? I would guess little of both. Kaz can really coach and we have players we were lacking at times. Quote Link to comment
RedRedJarvisRedwine
Collins spent a lot of time at DE today. Sounds like we are really prepping him to be in the rotation there as Keels and Natter haven't been coming along as fast as they'd like. Natter has been slowed by a bum knee so hopefully getting over that will help. Also, Keels wasn't at practice today so that probably had some to do with it as well.Sounds like Keels is doing alright. @CWhitneyKLIN: Gregory and McMullen both liked how Joe Keels has come in and played so far. They like his drive and work ethic since he's arrived Quote Link to comment

Warrior10
Was pretty worried about DE but feeling a little better after today. Gregory is Gregory, McMullen has come into his own, Keels had a great week and scrimmage today, Jack Gangwish has impressed enough for Pelini to say he is in position to get some PT and Newby has really settled into that 3rd down pass rusher. Natter had his knee cleaned out and is done for spring. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Is Marcus Newby a DE now or at least playing on the line on 3rd down? Quote Link to comment

Redux
VV is down about 20 pounds - to about 315 - and is said to be looking really good. Got rid of some bad weight. I was saying to myself last year, "Man, if he could drop some weight and add a bit of muscle every year this kid's gonna be special." Glad to hear that is coming along. Quote Link to comment
