Mavric
Stole this off Twitter but thought it was interesting. You have $15. Who's on your team? 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Sorry that's a little hard to read. I go Frazier - Jordan - Durant - Duncan - Russell Quote Link to comment
Ulty
Stockton, Jordan, Dr J, Duncan, Shaq Quote Link to comment

zoogs
Jordan (5) - Russell (4) - Stockton (2) - Durant (2) - Garnett (1). I had to go with MJ! Childhood hero, Space Jam star. This is only $14 spent, so I guess I need to clarify the rest of the picks. Keep in mind I'm amateur level NBA fan, so please don't judge too harshly for my ignorance. Very tempting to double-up on $5 players by going with Kareem, but I feel like Russell might be the top choice for defensive starpower. His 11 championships is also mind-boggling and I wanted that on the team. Definitely doesn't hurt that he appears to have been one of the all-time NBA good guys. Stockton was probably my favorite player to watch as a kid. I love how he runs the show and that he's as unselfish a guy as they come, on and off the field. Very smart and gritty player who was a capable defender, too, I think?. As for Isaiah Thomas, Jordan had some kind of grudge against him, anyway. Durant I don't know too much about, but he seems like he's regarded as a fairly transcendent talent. Maybe a higher ceiling than Julius Erving, about whom I know even less. I read somewhere that Erving's defense was better, but having Russell and Garnett, I favor Durant's offense & upside. I also like that he's a star without the whole celebrity/media personality thing going on, at least it seems so. Just quietly playing hard. Garnett over Dirk is again for his defense. I'm also partial to KG for his years in Boston and the times I watched him in the playoffs. I really like his game and his competitiveness, and also his unselfishness. Cut from the same cloth as Stockton and Russell, or at least that's the hope. Cool topic, btw Quote Link to comment
Landlord
I'm assuming that this is taking players in their prime? Magic Johnson Kobe Bryant Kevin Durant Tim Duncan Hakeem Olajuwon The best point guard and one of the best champions, spokespeople and personalities the game has ever seen playing general on the floor in Magic Johnson. The most tenacious and uncompromising competitor of the last twenty years, and elite scorer that has shown a willingness to fill other roles when needed, keeping the team mentally focused and devoted in Kobe Bryant. The two most stoic, focused, humble and team-first superstars I've ever seen in the NBA in Durant and Duncan. A versatile but also extremely intelligent and efficient Hakeem Olajuwon anchoring things in the middle. Quote Link to comment

beanman
Jordan- fiercest competitor in the league, knows how to break down a D Hakeem - Smoothest player I've ever seen for his size Duncan - as solid as they come. His brand of basketball is boring but very effective. Magic - one of the most versatile players ever Pippen - Awesome D, decent offense, versatile Quote Link to comment
wiuhusker
Give me: PG- Stockton SG- MJ SF- Lebron PF- KG C- Shaq I think it would be damn near impossible to keep both MJ and Lebron away from the rim. Both of those guys were/are also all-nba defenders and can lock up anyone at their respective positions. Shaq was a force in the paint and KG and Stockon would compliment each other well in pick-and-pop plays. Quote Link to comment

Ratt Mhule
Id pick Kobe over Jordan also. You can use that dollar to get a better big man. John Stockton- #1 in all-time assists/steals and only $2. Yes please. Kobe Bryant- You can use the dollar elsewhere and you're still getting one of the most clutch players in NBA history. Kevin Durant- Prob wouldn't be my first choice, but money wise Id rather spend my money elsewhere. Dirk Nowitzki- Sacrificing defense for scoring, but Ill make up for it with my pick at center. Plus hes #10 all-time scoring in NBA history and a 7 footer that can hit a three. Ill take that. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar- #1 all-time scorer in NBA history. #3 in rebounds and blocks. Im getting scoring and defense to make up for Nowitzki. I believe that is $15 Quote Link to comment
