Washusker
I honestly don't care about rankings all that much, but I am a bit baffled at why we are below teams such as Tennessee, Cal, Clemson, A&M, Tech, Maryland, and Illinois. We've got more 5* and 4* players than about all of them, and at least as many 3*, and a greater percentage of our commits are those higher starred players. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=204&p=9&c=14&yr=2006 Curious as to how we are ranked so low. Oh well. Quote Link to comment

Oh well. I think it's because scout doesn't count JC players. Quote Link to comment
HuskerInKC16
You're exactly right, I always wondered about this as well. We're even 6th in the Big 12! But anways, they obviously bank more on their Top 100 high school players and don't give many points for JUCOs. It baffles me a little bit too that we have the the lowest ranking for someone with the high avg. rating (3.17). Scout doesn't upgrade stars for a lot of players like Rivals does. It seems that all the NU commits who were no-namers (1 or 2-stars) all of a sudden became at least 3. Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
Throw darts at a board. It's about as accurate as any rankings Scout puts out there. However, if we were talking basketball, I would put Scout's Dave Telep over anyone in the business. That is the one and only good analyst they have on that entire network. Quote Link to comment
KansasHusker
I never go by what scout has for rankings or anything like that...rivals and this board is all I go by. Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
Even though we have a higher average ranking than many others ahead of us 3.17. I think they go by over all position by position to a total team ranking. In other words if we recruited EVERY position well we would be higher. That's what I was under the impression of. It could be wrong. Quote Link to comment
TheCropDuster
Scout to me is just a joke overall...... Quote Link to comment
NamelessHusker
Scouts rankings of recruits and teams is as laughable as a purple cow Quote Link to comment
HuskerInKC16
However, Scout is pretty good for tracking minor league baseball players. My buddy is with the Cubs and I can track all the articles about him, so I like that aspect. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
I looked on there today and seen we were ranked 28th!!! It makes no sense it just seems like sometimes everyone is against us!!! Quote Link to comment
Fat Tire
Yah, i was a bit confused how we are below teams, even though our * average is alot higher then some in front of NU...Suppose they think quantity matters, not quality... Quote Link to comment
