101 Things to Do in Lincoln

Recommended Posts

Am I the only one who actually can't stand Yia Yia's pizza? Give me a slice of the Randy Ross from Lazzari's any day.

I had YiaYia's for lunch yesterday. You're insane.

I've done 44 things on this list.

I've never eaten at Lee's Chicken. Lived in this town more than 25 years, so I have no excuse.

Here's YiaYia's pizza menu. The Local is your basic "combo" pizza, and what I get when I go. I've had The Greek, and it's really good, too.

a cheese slice with marinara sauce

The "old" eastern
a classic with oil and herbs, onions and fresh tomato slices

The Western
vegetarian slice with marinara sauce, mushrooms, onions,
bell peppers, spinach, broccoli, tomatoes + mozzarella

The Northern
white sauce with mozzarella, monterey jack, parmesan + provolone

The Southern
white sauce with ground turkey, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, spinach, onions + mozzarella

The Atlantic
white sauce with grilled chicken, bacon, potato slices, broccoli + mozzarella

The Pacific
marinara sauce with smoked ham, pineapple, bell peppers, cream cheese + mozzarella

The Local
combination pizza with marinara sauce, bacon, hamburger, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, black olives + mozzarella

The American
bbq sauce with chicken, corn, jalapeños + jack cheese

The Français
olive oil with walnuts, blue cheese + mozzarella

The Milano
oil and herbs with capers, chicken, lemon juice, black pepper, onion, spinach, parmesan + mozzarella

The Greek
oil and herbs with red onions, pepperocini, spinach, black olives, bruschetta, feta + parmesan

The Plains
red pesto with broccoli, almonds, corn, tomatoes, red onions, turkey + cheddar

Only 24, but to be fair I wasn't 21 when I lived there.

I'm intrigued by this Yia Yia's, tell me more.

It's crap pizza. I make much better pies at home. Also, I have a brick pizza oven that I built myself that I can easily get to 900 degrees so that may have something to do with it. Just my opinion though. A couple of old panty wastes here disagree. :box
