Atbone95 Posted February 19, 2016 Share Posted February 19, 2016 Why do we only expect 5 innings out of a starting pitcher..? That's not what good baseball teams do, even in college. Or am I wrong? It's the first start of the year, for a guy who's making the transition from the bullpen. This early in the season, it's common for the starters to only throw 70-80 pitches. Alright, alright, you're right, I concede. I'm being greedy. Howell did excellent for his first start, about as well as you could have asked him to. Quote Link to comment
