Two Maryland Football Players Charged With Firing BB Guns At Students

Last week, a handful of University of Maryland students complained to campus police that they’d been hit by BB gun pellets on campus. One student was riding his bike when he got sniped, a couple were tagged while walking near Maryland’s football stadium, and another student got hit while walking between buildings. The “shootings” happened on November 6, per UM police. The alleged perpetrators are Maryland football players Lorenzo Harrison and DJ Turner.

The pair of freshmen were suspended before last weekend’s game against Ohio State, and have now been suspended indefinitely after campus police announced the charges this afternoon. UMPD announced that Harrison and Turner would each be charged with three counts of second-degree assault and three counts of reckless endangerment.
