This Team Is Scared Of Husker Legacy

Recommended Posts

What I see in a lot of these posts from a lot of people is the stark realization that assuming some kind of transitive property from 2017 UCF's season to this season would occur was probably one glass of Kool-Aid too many.

Have to wait and see how our team fares against the run in our divisional games. We're not going to play too many teams that stand in the shotgun spread and air it out; our defense is built to stop the run, and our offense is built to run circles around some of the bigger, slower teams in the West.

Personally I think all of the deep psychological analysis of the program isn't warranted yet. We wanted this win so bad because it's a rivalry and it stings worse because of how we lost it, but if we go into game 7 at 4-2, that's really when the season begins for us. Take care of business against our primary divisional opponents and things all of a sudden look very different.

Didn't hear that at the opening on Twitter.  Started with him giving credit to CU for winning.  I liked his comment about we've got to get a killer mentality....

The reality is everyone is picking crap apart as we are all collectively pi$$ed and trying to find a tangible fixable reason we lost...

I should read the rest of the posts before I ask this question as maybe someone addressed it, but here it goes anyway.  I listen to a lot of the radio shows on the app, and one of comments made last week by a  host (don't remember which one) mentioned that there is a mandatory delay at the start of every press conference and this delay is new this year.  I don't remember how long the delay is, but 1-2 minutes sticks in my mind.  Can anyone confirm or address this?  Could be why no one actually heard the comment

Reading some of these posts seem like people are abandoning the titanic and there's no iceberg in sight...

SF has coached 14 games.  14 games.

Ya'll need to let this develop before everyone goes and starts rearranging deck chairs on the titanic..

It did not end well for those that remained on the boat.

September 8, RS: “They feel the off-season hype. They feel the pressure of a (former) Top 25 ranking. They feel the expectations of some picking them to win the West... Tune out the hype and expectations... HAVE FUN out there... Tune out the expectations. Play better. Be yourselves. Find your own rhythm. Enjoy the game again...

September 14, Coach Frost: "We preach to the guys -- and maybe I needed to get the lesson from outside and from my assistant coaches last week --we preach a desire to excel and no fear of failure all the time, and if we want the players to be that way, we need to be that way as coaches... What we need to call, rolling the dice, letting them play, being aggressive, that's the way I want our team to think."

Coach, not just doing vs. NIU, but every game. Even the pressure ones. Stay in the mojo and build on it.
