Alante is a really good receiver, can play duck-r and do the things Frost wants Rahmir to do.  So...............what's the problem here? :dunno

No disrespect to Alante. Thompson is at his best when he makes quick decisions on short and medium routes. RJ can be another viable target for Thompson's pass strengths and take some focus off the RB's who are sure to start drawing more attention.

Exactly why Alante should get more targets.  He is more sudden than Rahmir.  He makes the first guy miss.  Something Rahmir doesn't do

And Alante is a tad better version, and should get more plays.  Which means we already have that guy to get those touches.

Not enough play yet to say Alante is better but I don't have an issue with them both out there working short/medium routes (especially while Vokolek is out). Also allows Palmer to work deeper which is his strength and leaves ICG/Washington in more one-on-one which any receiver benefits from. Jet sweep also becomes a decent play with the duo of RJ and Grant. Also don't have a problem with more multiple back looks to get Grant, Allen, RJ & Ervin (if he is healthy) plays.

Listen.. If Rhamir isn't the best option we have at any position on the field for any given play, than he shouldn't be on the field for that play. He's no different than anybody else. We all love the guy, he gave us some of the few opportunity's last year we had to actually cheer for something on the offensive side of the ball. But bell cow he is not.  Hope they find some packages to get him on the field a bit, but big boy ball is big boy ball. When it comes to scheme, when you don't fit, you sit.
