I have never voted for Donald and I hope putin dies a slow painful death. I am however a libertarian. FYI from what I read in 2023 only 11/32 or 30 (not sure if this counted recent additions) actually were spending on the track to that 2.0% mark.

Iraq and Russia aren’t even on the same playing field. Saddam may have had a large army after recent wars with Iran but he wasn’t fielding the 2nd or 3rd most powerful military. However, I’ll agree in that it was large. But he didn’t possess nuclear warheads. I still strongly disbelieve in the thought putin is going to carve up nato as he knows he would he signing his death warrant. But I hope it is a call to NATO members. Most of which don’t put in their 2% allowance.

So regaining all of their territory back is to simply drone their way out? Gosh why didn’t we think of that?? I guess Russia is so far behind they don’t have them either!

Not enough systems. Tanks, aircraft, artillery, etc not enough men. They are not going to get any of the volume needed. It is literally that simple. Not regurgitation of Russian propaganda. The Ukrainians have fought valiantly for their homeland. But Russia is still formidable. And they are not the same force as when they entered the war. Ukraine has a patchwork of western equipment with no or limited inhouse capacity to manufacture and limited fabrication or repair. That is it. Not enough men not enough equipment. It would take a tremendous effort for ANY country to retake that.

For the price it doesn’t seem like a very good return. Hooray for Raytheon!

I’m not a Republican. I just think this is a massive waste of time and money. This is no longer winnable. Ukraine is going to be depleted of able bodied men before they would be able to retake all of their former land.

The Russian forces at the start of the war compared to today are night and day. Unfortunately. Their population alone would make it hard for them to draft enough men to take back all of Crimea and the Eastern losses in territory.

What does a win for Ukraine look like? They could play defense and bleed Russia but the counteroffensive was a massive fail. They were never going to retake all of captured Ukraine. If that is the goal.

So was Ukraine going to drive Russia all the way out if they had gotten supplied in your eyes? How much more aide would that have required? And if not..What’s the end goal? this was always going to end in a stalemate. Ukraine couldn’t provide the manpower and we couldn’t/wouldn’t provide the gear it takes to fully back out Russia from Ukraine. that was a massive waste of resources. Although so is funding Israel.

All that wasted money to Israel and Ukraine. Damn shame what that could’ve done here.

Or not let you drive, leave, etc unless you shadowed by a male relative. and yes, religious notes do influence these. I am aware. I do think that is a good point. people’s religion obviously shapes their belief here. But not to the same extreme as over there. But I will give you those. trans rights you kind of lose me. Not particularly coming from religion there on my end.
