NUance
Riley: Going to divide the team into two squads, Red and White, so as to have smaller practices. Practice with Red squad, while White squad does other stuf. Then switch around and practice with White squad. ^^ Interesting idea. Have fewer players on the field at one time so coaches can see everyone. ===================== Riley: Going to spend more time offense against defense. Good way to evaluate players. ^^ (I take this to mean more scrimmaging, or more O vs. D drills.) Quote Link to comment

Warrior10
Westerkamp up: - Lot of excitement, ready to get back out there. Very positive. - What's opened eyes on change: Its tough process but you must adjust and adapt. It's a process. Shock at first, team has grown closer. - Like Keith Williams a lot. Very enthusiastic coach. - Training facility is unbelievable, state-of-art. - Players have basic plays/material for offense. Another meeting soon. Players studying hard. - Will take time to learn/break tendencies. - Haven't had playbook too long. - Mark Phillip has been great, loves the new strength staff...loved Dobson too. Phillip will get you going even if its 5:30AM. - Position leaders stepped up early in change. - Pro-Style offense that will play into his skillset. 4 Quote Link to comment

Warrior10
Gerry: - Really excited. Lot simpler defense. Banker just wants them to fly around and let loose. Last year thought too much and made people play slower. - Very excited to have Leroy back. They have a good chemistry. Mentioned lack of depth at safety. - Expects a lot of competition. No spots are locked down, everything is open. Young kids are coming. - Very comfortable with coaches. Riley and Banker are always available. Those two are always around even at 6AM when they are conditioning. Stewart has met with Secondary and broke down their game individually. - Had to sit back and let the Warren sink in for a day or two. Excited for Stewart, opened a lot of eyes already. - Nate likes the two teams/two practice idea for the first few practices, that way everyone can be seen. Hasn't talked to Riley about it much. - Last year was power training...lots more conditioning/mobility/athletic training this year. Loves Phillips staff attitude. - 4 Quote Link to comment

Warrior10
Givens-Price: - Cav had em write down preferred position. Look at depth and go from there. - Best guys will be found through practice. - Cav hard coach on field, good guy off. - Film sessions/terminology has started. - Leaders that emerged: Gangwish, Collins, lot of others "he could go on and on". 5 Quote Link to comment
