  1. Past hour
  2. Over-bargaining for a dummy seems like a waste of resources. Like trading a basketball player for the literal “merchant of death”. Reap what you sow. Apparently he was in Russia for his love interest.
  3. GL was at 57 when I posted about it..just hit 83 today guessing there will be a quick sell off but still it seems to be trending up!
  4. Remember when Bush liberated Kuwait? The first thing they did was to ethically cleanse the country, Kuwait expelled a quarter million Palestinians the first month. ($.69 check to the first one to get it!)
  5. ESPECIALLY with the high tensions right now with Russia. The guy is an idiot. Now....I guess our government should do something to try to get him home like they do with everyone in this situation. But....I don't feel one bit sorry for him. And...the reporter that's there should come WAY before this idiot.
  6. Yep! We discuss this in a class I teach and I always show them this info from travel.state.gov and I let them know that they might want to rethink their travel plans if they are looking to travel "there" After careful consideration, if you still decide to go to high-risk areas, we urge you to: Enroll in the State Department's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). Develop a communication plan with your loved ones. Make sure you have a phone or other smart device(s) that will work in your destination. Use your device to share your location with your friends and family while you are abroad. Share important documents, logins, and contacts with loved ones before you travel. They will need them if you cannot return to the United States as planned. Discuss a plan with loved ones about care and custody of children and property. Draft a will and name appropriate insurance beneficiaries and power of attorney. Make a personal security plan with your employer or host organization. You may want to consider consulting a professional security organization. Identify key sources that may be able to help in case of an emergency. These may include the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate, FBI, and the State Department’s Office of American Citizen Services. They may also include your employer and local friends and family in the high-risk area. Appoint one family member to serve as the point of contact if you are taken hostage or detained. Set up a proof-of-life protocol. If you become a hostage, that person will know what questions to ask and answers to expect. This will help them be sure that you are alive (and to rule out a hoax). Leave DNA samples with your medical provider in case it is necessary for your family to access them. Erase sensitive photos, comments, or other materials from your social media pages. Do the same for your cameras, laptops, and other devices. The materials could be seen as controversial or provocative by local groups. Leave your expensive or sentimental belongings behind.
  7. If you go to the Middle East, Russia, North Korea, China, or above its hard for me to feel bad for you if something happens to you. You should’ve known better.
  8. I can think of one Republican who paid any type of price for rank dishonesty: George Santos. And his dishonestly was breathtaking, staggering, otherworldly level dishonesty. By and large their voters will not penalize them for it. Going to be hilarious if Noem winds up being the second.
  9. Literally just “hey look over there!” with more steps.
  10. Wait till he figures out all the other stuff the Republican party and Trump have told him is a lie.
  11. Today
  12. The Republican front-runner. Where was Jesus while cheeto was cheating on his wife?
  13. And then we have this...the Christian party is out to protect him.
  14. Let's just let this sink in a bit. The leading candidate for the party that claims Christianity as their guiding light.....is thinking about his DAUGHTER while having sex with a porn star.....and evangelicals claim he was sent by God to save our country.
  15. I don't mind Klatt, he clearly loves college fb and seems to throw himself into his work. He doesn't come off as biased and gives an honest opinion on what he sees
  16. Hey, 10-2 would have me grinning like an idiot for months. My annoying, realistic side tells me we'll see some hiccups, an injury or two, or some freshman roadbumps. It's not unrealistic to be thinking of finally bowling again. Hard to say, here in May. Perhaps I need to top off my kool-aid (sharkleberry-fin, all the way).
  17. It is probably fair to look at it in different ways just to get an idea of it all. Also, I hope the US gives more and more, anything to b!^@h slap the russians! https://www.ifw-kiel.de/topics/war-against-ukraine/ukraine-support-tracker/
  18. OMG...this could be a game changer for them. If they would actually open up about this and how Christianity fits well with their policies...... But....they have totally forfeited Christianity to Republicans...forwich, Republicans than took that and bastardized the religion to their political views.
  19. When you've lost Newsmax... NEWSMAX HOST ROB FINNERTY: If you asked me a month ago who's at the top of the list to run with Donald Trump, I would've said your name. If you asked me that same question this morning, I don't even think you're on the list. NOEM: Really? And why is that? FINNERTY: It's because of things that came out in this book, like your claims that you met Kim Jong Un. NOEM: I've been to the DMZ. FINNERTY: Governor, that never happened, did it? NOEM: What I have said in the book is that when I became aware of the content, we had it changed. I should not have put that anecdote in the book. I am not going to talk about my meetings.
  20. Absolutely. LGBTQ issues are a center point of coastal democrats issues, but frankly it ranks low on a national scale. While those issues are important, constantly talking about them hurts their cause with voters that matter. Simply put, Democrats need to legislate in ways that help the LGBTQ community but not make it a center point of their politics.
  21. Idiot voters? You mean these folks don’t have a good faith interest in democracy, legislation, governance and compromise?
  22. To be fair, most Americans are extremely happy with their governor. Most states lean heavily Democratic or Republican, and therefore choose the party that represents them. Kristi Noem is extremely popular in SD, with a net approval rating +20.3 (58.6 approve, 38.3 disapprove). While those are good numbers, it ranks 23rd. Slightly higher than average. It should be noted that the only Governor with an underwater approval rating is Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves (R). Mississippi is already by far the poorest state in the country, Reeves has been involved in a few scandals, notably a welfare fraud scandal. This scandal also involved Brett Farve, where welfare money was used to fund a Volleyball Stadium at the University of Southern Mississippi. All told, even with tremendous baggage, Reeves won reelection and has a favorability rating of only -4.1. In short, it takes a lot for voters to dislike their governors. As long as they don't get involved in serious scandals or are unlucky enough to be governor during an economic downtown, they enjoy being liked by their voters almost no matter what.
  23. They also need to stop seeming so "pro" everything that a lot folks don't relate to. For example, Instead of going out of their way to show support for LGBTQ, rebrand it as supporting individual rights to exist and be happy as long as they aren't hurting people. It's also okay to recognize that Christianity is the prominent religion in the USA and Dems need to be okay being vocal about how their religion shapes their philosophies. Stop letting the GOP from being the only party that hijacks religion. It also sounds stupid, but it would also be helpful if Dems very publicly stated that they are strongly against "abortion after birth!!!!"....They need to realize critical thinking is a struggle for most folks and they need to stop counting on people to be able to do it...
  24. Totally agree, I actually like him a lot. I think he's pretty unbiased to be honest.
  25. I don't think I'd agree that the probability of a recession this year is lower. It's unlikely, but the most recent monthly jobs reports shows significant cooling in the number of jobs added per month. If the cooling continues, it's certain possible - although improbable - that the election takes place in a recession. As for reaching Trump or other Republican voters, you really can't. These people are detached from reality. What Democrats do need to do, however, is focus less on issues that play well with elite coastal Democrats and focus more on their pro-worker, strong social programs, and positive messaging which was their foundation for decades.
