Boise State, West Virginia, Brigham Young and Texas Christian instead of Nebraska, Texas A&M, Colorado and Missouri Horrible markets and horrible alumni/fan bases by comparison. If that is the best the Big XII can do then they won't last another 10 years.

Better than the usual slate of games. The matchups for Iowa, Indiana, Maryland and Rutgers suck but the rest are intriguing in some way. Even Illinois because of their fired coach and Turdue because Marshall has a pretty good squad.

There is no excuse for Illinois not to be at least decent in football and a national championship contender in basketball. Football is pretty good in Illinois and basketball is the best, big time boosters and alumni, decent tradition, etc The biggest underachieving program in the conference and It isn't even close.

So freakin' ready for the Hockey season to start. Just as much as football.

Mizzou admin and their fans would prefer the Big Ten. But will their pride be ok with it? All hypothetical until Delaney decides if he wants them in. I'd think a Midwestern school with its rivals in the Big Ten West(potentially Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa) and no division school more than 7 1/2 hours away from campus would prefer that set up then being thrown in the SEC EAST with schools on the opposite side of the world in Columbia, SC , Knoxville, and Gainesville.

OU fans are worried about Okie lite getting an invite to the SEC and pulling an "A&M" if the Sooners go to the Big Ten. I think the SEC is looking eastward for targets. They still have two big population states in Dixieland that are exclusively ACC.

It would be the same thing if Michigan and Ohio State switched. Doesn't matter who's on top. True, but the whole "collapse of the Big Ten" started after The Appalachian State game and most people in the conference felt it couldn't get back unless they were back to being the program they were in the 90s.

Two different problems too. Big XII is just a mess with bad politics and land mass, ACC is filled with a great bunch of schools that like basketball and don't have many alumni(fans). ACC has one school with an enrollment over 30K and that is FSU. The Big Ten has 12 schools over 30K and 8 or 9 schools over 40K.

West Virginia?

Everyone who has been paying attention thinks that there will be 4 super conferences. SEC, Big Ten, and Pac-12 are locks for three out of the four spots. Do you really want to leave a lock for a conference whose 4th best property is in Stillwater, OK?

I can say with 100% certainty that KSU will never get a Big Ten invite. Might as well invite Cincinnati or someone like that.

Travel for Texas, Oklahoma, Okie Lite and Tortilla Tech wouldn't be terrible in the Pac-12. East/West Split and reunite the Pac-8 ASU, UA, UT, TTU, OU, OSU, Utah and Colorado is a very good football division. From Austin-Ames is comparable to Austin-Phoenix. Taking two teams from Oklahoma would be seen as redundant for the Big Ten or SEC but for the Pac-12 it is actually good for all sports. Especially basketball since it cuts down on travel. I think the Pac-12 solves all the issues for OU and Texas politics. Or at least better than the Big Ten or SEC. I would imagine KU to the Big Ten is inevitable after that.

Don't forget that their decisions are undoubtedly influenced by their little brother Okie lite as well. That's like Florida and Georgia Tech telling Georgia what to do. embarrassing.
