  1. I agree with most all of this. I'm guessing there will be 8-10 players on this OSU team that are NFL players, at least. Do we have any? It was hard to not get on the hype train, as I know I did from time to time, but I also said early on that 6 or 7 wins this year would be a nice step forward. I still have full faith in Scott Frost being the guy to turn things around here. He just got saddled with a class D roster that had a failing mental state while having to compete in a Class A league. When he was hired, I was all for the 7 year contract because I felt it most likely would take that long to rebuild the program. Not playing other players during the game is a bit of a head scratcher, but I'm a fan, not a coach. If Frost truly believes that Adrian is "the guy", then I can see his decision to keep him in the game is all about building the dudes character. It could also be a matter of he and the other coaches looking at the depth and knowing there is no where to go right now. I feel badly for him. Two things are for sure. Next Saturday I'll be all in on the Husker football team, and I'll still hate Notre Dame. :-)
  2. Was that throw to Allen the first Tight End target tonight?
  3. I saw that too....very close to a killer hit there...
  4. To quote Lou Holtz after getting shellacked by the Husker by 70+ points. He was asked if thought Tom Osborn ran up the score. His answer: "Let me make this clear, it is our job to keep them from scoring, not Tom's!"
  5. Looked like two head-to-head hits on Washington on that last run. But I'm just a fan.
  6. Adrian's body language on the sideline is defeated.
  7. I have an overwhelming feeling that JD Spielman will have a good start, then will be injured for the season. Same with Adrian Martinez. Of course, I also felt like cellular phones would be a passing fad. Hope my trend continues.
  8. Big risk, big potential reward. I think we have two ways to come out good, and one way to come out bad. 1. We win outright in a stunner. Could happen. It could. 2. We lose in a tough, hard fought, well executed game. One where tOSU privately feels lucky to have won. Those two are wins, at least in some respect. I think a good game that is a loss, under the lights in a rocking stadium still give potential recruits a warm and fuzzy. Of course an outright win helps seal the deal a lot tighter. 3. A blow out, ugly loss. Not only a horrible showing for a national audience, but it would hurt recruiting a LOT. Unless the recruiters are selling the "see how bad you are...we really, really need you....start next year!" I'm pretty confident it will be one of the first two. PS...I could not care less about the Game Day circus.
  9. Is she expecting to have any hush-hush phone calls with our President?! LOL
  10. If he didn't chew, I suspect I'd have my first and only man crush...but that kills it. Dude is the real deal for sure.
  11. I expected someone to say "What, move slow, always be behind on shallow crossing routes and miss easy tackles!" heh heh.....not sure why, but during one game last year I kind of picked him as my rising star.
  12. I look for Adrian to have that game that we all have been waiting for, partially due to the emergence of Wandale and that receiver transfer from California. Expect to see JoJo Dohmann have a big 10 linebacker kind of day today too.
  13. I have no predictive capabilities, but with respect to a bowl game, the only one I'd care to go to (until we get in the playoffs) would be the Alamo Bowl. I love visiting San Antonio. I'd probably go to the Fiesta Bowl, because Phoenix is a good time also.
  14. If you are in Illinois, the best place to go is back to Nebraska.

  16. I had the chance to talk to Tommy Frazier a few months after the Fiesta Bowl win against Florida. I said that my favorite part was when "we were whipping the so bad on defense that their coach just had a lost, dumbfounded look on his face." I immediately corrected myself saying "Well, not we, I meant the Husker Defense". He said "No, you're right. The fans are every bit as much a part of the team as the QB, the offensive line and the coaching staff". I'l go with his thought on this personally.
  17. I like your qualifier ""didn't get caught" holding....well said. I hadn't realized they had no penalties of either type. I'll take that as definite progress.
