It just makes sense to have a feel for game speed and electricity in an environment that is not a blowout or kneel down situation. We seem to have NO problem substituting 21 other positions at any point in the game...............even so far as starters disappearing for much of the season. To argue that a series (in most games) late in the second quarter or early in the third carries unacceptable risk is nonsensical.

Are you insinuating that the primary role of starting/running/expanding a business is to create jobs? We may not want to acknowledge it, but the primary instigator of starting/running/expanding a business is to create a profit. Certainly, an ancillary benefit to the s/r/e is providing jobs and, (if it applies, and by extension) helping the unemployed. But the notion that it is altruism as a motivator that prods someone to undertake the considerable risk and liability that ensues with the launch of a private venture is simply untrue in the majority of cases. Capitalism can offer numerous benefits, but not if emotionalism supercedes business decisions.

Except for the parts arguing that defending TMart is somehow ingesting kool-aid, I agree with quite a bit of this post. It has been rehashed over and over but it was almost criminally negligent the manner in which redshirts were wasted and opportunities for some meaningful snaps were ignored. Of course, we don't know the specifics but the "circle the wagons" and bunker mentality of the staff really stifles any information flow and begets speculation. I am the first to admit the coaches know infinitely more about each individual situation, but the entirety of it all encompassing SO many different players leads one to believe they really are lax in this area.

If true, it reflects poorly on Green. It's one thing to evaluate and act on your personal situation, but quite another to be vindictive against a program. That would be truly disappointing.

I know…………..(stop the presses !!)………….this is not breaking news, but…….. I was puzzled and mystified about why the local media kept hammering the “nothing to play for” mantra leading up to yesterday’s game. I believed before (and after) there was a LOT to play for ………….. It’s becoming more and more obvious the media have no feel for the paying customers and their loyalty. Maybe if THEY personally had to fork over big bucks for seat licenses, ticket prices, parking, and their own hot dogs they would gain a semblance of a clue what the rest of us invest to be part of the experience. These “entitled” hacks then have the temerity to be insulted when they ask sophomoric questions at the presser and Bo steps on their feelings. Sorry……….just had to vent……………

I thought our crowd noise was pretty decent...................especially considering the media did everything in it's power to maintain the game was really "nothing to play for".............
