  1. That list is nowhere near accurate if it does not include the decision to start cam Jurgens at center from game 1.
  2. Prediction? the excuse for underperforming in 2020 will be “youth”.
  3. agree. however i will say that it's extremely unlikely that he has anywhere near the game he had if wandale was healthy. that's not a shot at either player, but at nebraska's player management.
  4. Lol. lazy, tired, “You think you’re better?” arguments don’t deserve a response.
  5. Most people on this thread aren’t wrong. I suppose the real question should be, is a blackshirt, with all the implications and history it carries, the best thing to use as a prop or motivational tool, this late into a season this poor? I honestly don’t mind either way. I’m ok with the fact that the coaches are at least trying something.

  7. Wow. It’s taken only one week for people to move into full fledged rationalization of what a poor season this has been. and we haven’t even played Wisconsin or Iowa yet...
  8. so... what about the bad decisions and obvious issues and problems this current staff is creating all by themselves? who's responsible for those?
  9. well... thank God Nobody's saying that... phew...
  10. if there’s anyone on that staff that looks at that 2020 schedule and thinks any part of that schedule will be easy for this team, they should be fired immediately, on the spot.
  11. OLB recruiting is absolutely non-existent. shades of Bruce Read and Hank hughes.
  12. Just call plays that have low degrees of difficulty and risk in that moment and situation.
  13. lol right on cue. if you know anything about me or my posts you know i'm far from that. if me thinking the ball should be run when the ball is supposed to be run makes me a rtdb guy, so be it.
  14. me neither. being aggressive in that situation would be lining up with a full back and running 4 times till we got in the end zone. calling that play is all about hubris, not aggression.
  15. frost calling a shovel pass on the goal line immediately after we intercepted a shovel pass that got us the ball on the goal line told me me all I needed to know: he still hasn’t humbled himself enough to do what is needed to be successful here at Nebraska. He’s still just all talk with a mountain sized ego. With that being said, I still think he will make some internal and external changes these next few games and in the offseason that will bring success next year.
  16. in general: some husker fans on this board: some former players: Scott Frost:
  17. We will do well next year. You can mark this post. I choose to believe frost's love for husker football will win out over his ego this offseason.
  18. Correct (probably). He won't leave. Now, of frost keeps forcing the issue with poor personnel management and egotistical playcalling, and then refuses to make some staff changes, all bets are off.
  19. Not trying to be armchair quarterback, but I started flipping between the game and the EPL chelsea game once it became 10-7. I just felt they wouldn’t hang on. It’s like they still don’t understand that this is big time B1G football. It’s not about style points. It’s about wins. And they keep sacrificing wins for their own ego. ive posted a few times on this board that they are able to win. But they have to be intentional about winning. They still aren’t.
  20. It’s ok to defend the program and the coaching staff. It’s also Ok to admit that player management has been trash. Vedral is the quarterback who gives you the best chance to win as far as this season and this roster is concerned.
  21. Read my post again. I never said that those things would make you go undefeated no matter what. In fact, quite the opposite. You would be sacrificing wins to do those things. That’s why all coaches don’t do it. But in the long run, it always pays off. the “if it was great, everyone would be doing it” argument doesn’t work because frankly, most head coaches are either egomaniacs who want their own way, or are simply too lazy to go through the unimaginably hard work of doing things that way. Maybe both. And really, that’s why Saban went 6-6 in his first year. It’s why Wisconsin is always great. It’s why Kansas state with their 2 stars always looks to pull at least one huge upset every year.
  22. completely agree that people are searching for all kinds of reasons for the bust. I think it’s all pointless though, because In my opinion, it isn’t the first place we should look When a program is struggling. playing and enjoying the game of football is not about talent, but about technique and teamwork, individual effort within a complex and multifaceted team framework. if any team plays with proper technique, and gives above average effort, that team will always have a chance, and will continue to get better. It’s on the coaches to make sure those two things happen, by teaching proper technique, and using only players willing to give that effort on the proper technique taught. it’s simple. Teach proper technique. Enforce it. Reject any and all manifestations of poor effort, and this fan base will love you till the end, no matter the result.
  23. If the Defensive staff returns intact, then frost isn’t really ready to win.
  24. hope chinander doesn't return after this season.
