I think it has more to do with the decisions that are made during the game. Most people on the board know what it takes to win football games. When you do stupid things and call plays that have no chance for success people call out the coordinators. Fundlemental football is not all that difficult to understand and when coaches making huge amounts of money can't run out the clock, pass when the need to run, use time outs when the need to and cost the team a win by doing so need to be called out. Not a personal thing, its call accountability.

He can't help himself, He needs to prove the system works, now that all the players are in place. The problem is, the QB needs to deliver and that is not happing. This is not the NFL its Nebraska.

Interesting to read all the options out there. You still need to bring in a proven winner and a coach that can get Nebraska back in the game. This needs to be done right this time. No more experiments.

I can guarantee that if a high school coach in Texas had this attitude he would be shown the door. Why make a statement like this? This shows what his mind set is and this becomes that of the team. Look how poorly we played in the first three games!!! I hate to rag on coaches ( I was one myself ) but the amount of money the state is paying these coaches, they need to be held accountable for all aspects of the teams performance. The magic that was Nebraska football is gone, has been for a long time. Bringing in old players is not the answer to the problem. Nebraska is still a top level school that can attract great coaches but they need to fit in with the university and the state. We need to get back to the basics of football and the fundamentals that win games. Nebraska has no identity on a national level like we did in the glory years. We need a young, up and coming coach that will bring back some stability to the program and be around for an extended period of time. The manner in which the administration got rid of Solich began the unstably and has affected the football program sense. We need to hire a proven winner and support that coach for years. Being back the magic that was once Nebraska football is going to take the right coach and support from the university and the whole state of Nebraska.

What happened to there's no place like Nebraska? In my view we lost that when we started to bring in pass happy head coaches. Nebraska was a running machine and wore people down and knocked them out in the second half. What I have seen for the last 14 years is Nebraska trying to be something we are not. We can't block, tackle, pass, run, return, play D or have any consistency on Offense. Fundamentals are lacking in all phases of the game for the past 14 years. That comes down to coaching. This implosion started with Pederson and it is still present today. Until we get an AD and Head coach that stress the fundamental aspects of football, and hold student athletes and coaches accountable for there scholarships and pay we are going to be a also ran football team. Look at Wisconsin during the same 14 years. That program was modeled after what Nebraska use to be. We need to get back to THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE NEBRASKA!!!
