  1. Elated? They've been conditioned to be nothing but pissed off and terrified.
  2. Neither. Voted for Johnson. I would have voted Clinton if my vote would have impacted the general election, but I was living in South Dakota at the time. Felt my voice would be "loudest" if I boosted a 3rd party candidate. I would dearly love the rise of a third party.
  3. I feel that the money simply won't be there in 35-40 years when I'm able to file, and that I could be doing much better things with that cash myself.
  4. Why would you ever cooperate with him? He's only going to screw you worse if you do.
  5. They don't play the anthem before any other large public gathering, the marriage to sports makes no sense. I like the anthem when national teams are involved (see World Cup), otherwise it's a mood killer and waste of time.
  6. Not incidentally, also the trick to making America great again.
  7. You are likely doing better than anyone with a similar resume whose name is La'tron. That's white privilege.
  8. He never wanted the job in the first place, and knows he will eventually be removed (by election or impeachment). Makes sense to me.
  9. All 49 Democrats voted for it, plus Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and John Kennedy of Louisiana.
  10. I also have on good authority that most water is wet.
  11. On this topic, my problem with self-checkout lanes at the store is people who ruin them by taking an entire cart full of stuff and tie up the machine for 15 minutes. These things should also have an item limit (that would be ignored by many).
  12. You know, I haven't been on here for a week or so and tried catching up on things...scrolling through it's honestly hard to give a s#!t anymore. No news piece is surprising. The Republicans have declared all-out war on anything that wasn't introduced by their figureheads and there's no level they won't stoop to in order to protect their demagogue and denigrate reason.
  13. That's a surreal thing to watch. I'm filled with hope for the North Koreans, but am left wondering what Kim's motive is.
  14. I would replace Teddy with FDR.
  15. Both parties are out of touch. Yes, the Republicans have completely lost their minds, but the general public would be wise to disown both parties. The American public needs to begin looking at alternatives who aren't on a corporate payroll.
  16. 90% of all Republicans are Russian puppets. It is now everyone else's burden to prove my claim wrong. Gonna need hard evidence, people.
  17. Correct. They've already shown the world there is no line they won't cross.
  18. I'd have to be religious to pray, but I do reflect on life daily. It's not a set schedule like you might see with prayer. I do look at where I am, where I want to be, what is good, what is bad, and what can be done to make life for me and those around me better.
  19. The US dollar is backed by the US economy. A cryptocurrency is backed by....... It's a neat idea but fundamentally flawed.
  20. Governed by the same body, but a separate institution. See all of the lower leveled Indiana University, _________ teams. Or University of Nebraska - Omaha.
  21. I tried to give Nugent the benefit of the doubt, that this was a misleading quote, but no. He is actually calling these children soulless for challenging the NRA.
  22. He's probably surrounded by people who agree, so you're wrong for suggesting otherwise.
  23. I do believe obstruction of justice is what prompted the investigation. Trump could be innocent of collusion (he is too dumb to organize such a thing) but you can't fire someone investigating you for treason because you don't like it. There's a hell of a lot of smoke that points towards collusion though.
