  1. UNLV just scored a touchdown on 4th and 5 to force triple overtime. This is not going to be a good year for Minnesota.
  2. Is that any more ridiculous than people here thinking we are going to win the conference?
  3. It's the same broadcast crew regardless of which channel it's on. I know but the ABC game is being dropped in Montana in favor of the Montana vs South Dakota game. If the Huskers were on ESPN 2 I could have seen it, now I won't get to. That's surprising...Go Yotes!
  4. Nebraska has a god damn helicopter. Doesn't get any better.
  5. Pretty damn low imo, especially if he is still considering teaming up with Okafor. No way do those two decide that this is their school.
  6. No one has ever won the Legends division two years in a row. Fact.
  7. 12-0, no doubt. That schedule does look incredibly easy.
  8. So little star power for a team ranked nationally. The 25th, only because he is such a wild card, and 2nd best in the conference is all?
  9. They gotta run the ball if they want to even score against us, that's for damn sure. Pretty damn hard to pass against this team (see MSU game).
  10. We're going to make it to that damn tourney sometime after this next season I tell ya.
  11. This is the big reason why the SEC looks so good. It is a very unfair advantage, plus it is incredibly low to rescind a scholarship to a player after they sign with you.
  12. They've lost 7 running backs in the last year? And their leading (only) returning running back has 20 yards? Even with their easy schedule things are going to be rough for them.
  13. Yeah, Iowa is going to finish high because of their schedule. We get Ohio State and Wisconsin, they get Indiana and Purdue. Great...
  14. For the record Fagnano was a walk-on to Akron who was not invited to the Zips fall camp. Wow. That speaks volumes about how far State Penn has fallen. It sucks to be them right now. And for the next decade. He couldn't even make Akron, likely the single worst team in FBS football last year, but is good enough for Penn State? Their only win was against the Virginia Military Academy for cryin out loud. Penn State is going to make Indiana look like Alabama.
  15. They went undefeated in 04 and 08, but that's still only two seasons. Utah is going to be a perennial doormat in the Pac-12.
  16. I don't think they'll beat us in the standings unless they beat us head to head. They'll have a good defense, but not much else. I couldn't figure out how we were the only team to beat them in conference play last year. And we beat them bad. They even handled the two teams that destroyed us.
  17. THERE IS NO D IN STANFORD! (Probably because they play in the Pac-12)
  18. Well, there is that, but there have been too many disappointments in games that didn't have fraudulent seconds added to the clock. The next season we got the rematch with Texas, the near disaster at Iowa St, the debacle at A&M, the utter collapse in the conference title game, and a complete embarrassment in our bowl game. Last year we had an absolute ass whooping against Wisconsin in our first Big 10 game on national TV, an embarrassing loss to Northwestern, a second complete beatdown from Michigan, and then another incredibly shameful bowl game. These handfuls of bad games in the last two years alone are what have made some lose faith in Pelini. I don't think the 09 Big 12 title would have changed things too much.
  19. We have yet to see this Nebraska team play yet, but the absolute ass stompings that they received last year and losses on defense plus some OL questions can cast some doubts in the minds of fans. I'll be shocked if this team finishes with 10 wins and 3 losses, so I'd say 9-4 is the best scenario I can picture at this point. These predictions are as useless as the preseason polls though, no one knows anything about anyone yet. so thats essentially saying the best case scenario you can imagine, after watching last year, and seeing what we have returning, it at least 4 losses and maybe more? you think out of those 12 games on our schedule, there is not a CHANCE, we could win more than 8 of them? My best scenario was 9, but of course there is a chance they could win more than 9. There is a chance they could win all of them. I think highest that fans can realistically hope for though is 4 losses, with the bowl.
  20. I doubt he really wants to go here. I wouldn't be surprised if he is just trying to please the locals while he is still here.

  22. You think rex is the only guy in history to be a really good back on crappy teams? Im pretty sure there are have been a decent amount of running backs throughout the years that could say they were great but were held back by their not so great offense. Burkhead isnt the only person that has had to deal with this issue. Rex is a good rb but at this point in time there are better options out there for heisman finalist predctions. Hopefully Rex has a monster year and persuades voters that he should be invited. This. Being the MVP of a 4th place Big Ten team isn't going to get you the Heisman unless you have some unreal numbers. I also agree with whoever said that this is more of a team award. Either competition is going to have to be weak or we are going to need to win the national title. I wonder if Suh would have won the Heisman if we had an offense to get us to the national title game.
