  1. Minnesota - Zack Annexstad: 88/167 for 1142 yards, 8 TD and 7 INT Nebraska - Adrian Martinez: 96-154 for 1167 yards, 6 TD and 5 INT
  2. Collegefootballnews.com, are you sure Minnesota can't run the ball? 'Cause it seemed like we ran for 178 against Ohio State last week and 903 so far this season. And I can't be sure, but I thought our leading rusher was averaging 5.8 ypc so far in 2018. But I'm probably wrong, and those stats are probably made up or something. So we can't run. And our walk-on freshman QB probably doesn't have almost exactly the same stats as Nebraska's "something special" freshman QB. And I'm probably mistaken in thinking that our defense is yielding 14 fewer points per game than the Black Shi*ts.

  4. One of my very favorite British expressions. https://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/217400.html
  5. Well keep your pecker up, Husker fans. Cause if you don't count the losses, Nebraska is undefeated this season.
  6. Explain to me why you wouldn't count a game that they played? Because NMSU has a crummy defense? So does Nebraska. That whole "if you ignore their successes there are only failures" argument has always baffled me. People trot it out all the time, in sports and politics and business.
  7. Boy, can the Gophers use an easy game right now. Good thing Nebraska's next!
  8. Alright, Huskers. It's getting close. When the Gophers get done stomping that "school" from that ugly mudpit of a state this weekend, we're gonna start looking past OSU and thinking about Nebby week. Is your team gonna play for the chair this year or not?
  9. Star DB Antoine Winfield is out for the season (again) with a foot injury suffered against Maryland (again), resulting in the Gophers' first loss of the season (again). Minnesota is setting up to be Nebraska's first win of the 2019 season.
  10. Man I was cheesed when Spielman picked Nebraska over Minnesota. You guys got a good one.
  11. He looks just like my next door neighbor, Fott Scrost. He's a spelunker who enjoys metal detecting and collecting stamps, and he's looking for someone to take walks on the beach with.
  12. Everybody is overanalyzing the issue. The reason Nebraska has two losses is because they scored fewer points than their opponents twice.
  13. It was great to see Wisconsin lose today. Nebraska, on the other hand, I felt bad for. I wanted the Huskers to win. That's the view from up here in Gopher land.
  14. That's right, Huskers. We wanted Nebraska to have a chance of beating the Gophers this year, so Rodney Smith made this sacrifice for you.
  15. It wouldn't be the same, it would be better. But I think your real problem is that you're mad that you lost the Broken Chair to Minnesota last year.
  16. With a little luck Nebraska can get rained out again, and remain undefeated going into week 3.
  17. Frost sure looks like a home run from up here in Minnesota. I just don't know how he can be the greatest hire when he's destined to lose to the Gophers every year until forever.
  18. I bet you Nebraska fans are feeling good. Going into week 2 your team is still unbeaten. [thumbs up!]
  19. Minnesota looks good, advances to the Super Regional where they face Oregon State. Purdue, Ohio State, Indiana eliminated. Indy went down fighting.
  20. The University of Minnesota’s Athletes Village is up and running, all 338,000 square feet now full of players, coaches, tutors, chefs and administrators dedicated to making school easier, and more fruitful, for the university’s approximately 750 student-athletes. The $166 million project includes three new buildings: a football center including a locker room, weight room and staff offices; an indoor football practice facility; and the “Center for Excellence” that includes academic, nutrition and training centers as well as practice facilities for men’s and women’s basketball. The university opened the new construction for a media tour on Saturday. https://www.twincities.com/2018/02/10/gophers-new-athletes-village-is-officially-operational/
  21. A few thoughts from an outsider... The sellout streak doesn't make your program great. Having a great program is what gave you a sellout streak. You no longer have a great program. You would be lucky to have Craig Bohl for a variety of reasons. He's a great (not good) coach. What he did at NDSU isn't just impressive, it's amazing. His last three seasons there he went 43-2 with three I-AA national championships. He knows the culture and the geography of the Midwest and the Plains, and he has tons of connections in NE, IA, MN WI, the Dakotas, etc. I laughed out loud when I read, "Take away those turnovers, flop the offense and defense around, and this is last year's 8-6 team." I guess if you take away the things that make any team a winner, they'd be a loser. Take away all the losses and Mike Riley would be undefeated. So what? Take away 100 extra pounds and I'd be slim. Nebraska fans think there's something special about Nebraska and its program. I know it hurts to admit it, but you are what you are. At this point in history you're another Minnesota - a program with a storied history and a crummy present. There's nothing special about the Nebraska job. You need a coach who will rebuild it.
  22. As a Gophers fan I had really looked forward to some good natured trash talking. But the way both teams' season have gone, I think the only trash this week will be on the field.
