  1. I think he will play for Nebraska next season and I 100% want him to play for Nebraska next year. Also, anyone that wants Tim Miles to move on is 100% crazy. Tim Miles is an amazing coach and I think he is definitely the perfect fit for Nebraska. I hope he is here for a very long time. They had a rough year this year, and I love how some people were in his corner last year and ready to fire him this year.
  2. I don't see that happening. I think he'll be around for a long time. Just my opinion of course.
  3. The way that this year has gone, I think Petteway should stay for one more year. Petteway and Shields have been most of our offense this year and teams know it. When we get some of those other players in the mix next year, maybe we will have a couple of other scorers and Petteway can develop some other parts of his game a little bit more.
  4. I'm still getting that spam message every time I try to go to a different part of the board. Is there a way for me to fix it from my end? It's getting old having to click on that every time I try to go to a different part of the board.

  5. Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM! ............Braveheart
  6. To me it's pretty clear the Pac 12 is the better conference this year. The SEC didn't hardly beat anyone with a pulse in the OOC. They then spent the rest of the year with the media drooling all over them while they beat up on each other. They then laid a big egg (relative to what the media thought they would do) in the bowl games. Meanwhile, the Pac 12 actually played some good teams in the OOC with their best team beating a top ten team (possibly top 5) and they have a team in the championship game after winning a playoff game. I think it's laughable that someone would say "well, the Pac 12 is getting closer". Dude, they passed them up. Was talking to my roommate this weekend about where we would rank the various conferences for this year top to bottom. IMO it goes: 1)PAC-12 - Clear frontrunner 2-3)B1G/SEC - Both seemed to be pretty evenly matched this year, all teams considered. 4)Big 12 - Yes, TCU and Baylor are both elite teams but aside from that, Big 12 is a conference with a whole lot of offense and no defense. No other real standout teams, aside from maybe KSU. I would agree the the Pac-12 is looking a little better than the SEC, but I don't know that they are the clear front runner. I would also say that SEC would be #2 and I would put B1G #3. I think this bowl season has said a lot about how the SEC is down a little bit from what they have been in the past couple of years. I know that some people want to argue that bowl games don't really matter as much and they don't measure that much, but they measure quite a bit IMO. PAC-12 has a team in the national championship game and went 6-2 in bowl games this year and 8-4 against P5 non conference opponents. I would say that makes them #1 without a doubt. I am agreeing that they are #1, but some people are making it sound like they are a long ways in front of the SEC and I just don't agree with that. I think they are slightly better than the SEC at this point. I would unfortunately have to put the SEC at the clear #2 ahead of the B1G though. SEC: No team in the national championship. 7-5 in bowl games and 6-6 against P5 non conference opponents in regular season B1G: Team in the national championship. 5-5 in bowl games. 6-11 against P5 non conference opponents in regular season. I hate the SEC and how they are over-hyped by the media. However, I love seeing most people on the board state how the B1G is really down all season long and then they have a good bowl season and everyone is instantly wanting to say they are better than the SEC. I hate the SEC, but I still wouldn't put the B1G ahead of them as a whole conference right now. All of this is just my honest opinion however and I do respect your opinion as well. I would love to see some good non-conference match-ups next season to help determine where all of the conferences really sit in respect to each other. Maybe it's not that they are wrong about the SEC, but that they were wrong about the B1G That's a very real possibility. I'm not an Ohio State fan, but I really hope they beat Oregon. That would really be a boost to the conference for Ohio State to beat the mighty SEC Crimson Tide and then take down Oregon!

I only made the opinion that the PAC-12 is the best conference this year. I just wanted to put the information about the SEC and the B1G out there so that people could judge it for itself. But if I am to make an opinion, maybe the SEC is a little better than the B1G but I don't feel the divide is very wide. I agree that the PAC-12 is the best conference this year. I also don't think the divide is very wide right now between the SEC and the B1G.

  11. Not anymore. Pelini won games Callahan didnt. I get Pelini was a bit of a nut case and lost the games that mattered compared to Callahan who lost almost all games. I understand your point that because of the recordings, and Pelini sideline demeanor and how we got blown out(assume this is where you think it is close with Pelini/Callahan), but that doesnt match up to what Callahan did to drive this program in to the ground. Callahan didn't drive this program into the ground. Further, in 2007, this general press around us was that we were down but we would get it righted. I'd take that over the way Bo looks and how he made us look over the past 24 months any day. We're a glorified twitter joke. C'mon man. Callahan gave us our first losing season in how many years? And he did it twice in four seasons. If you want to argue Pelini was a more toxic person, I'd agree, but Callahan was worse for the program as a whole. Pelini was known to sh*t the bed against ranked competition but Callahan was no better. (Probably worse) Going 4-10 against ranked competition and the highest ranked opponent he beat was #20 Michigan in a bowl game. In that respect the two are quite similar but 5-7 and 5-6 sound like 'drove into the ground' to me. Edit- I'd rather be a joke on twitter than a joke on the field. I can't believe this is even a discussion. I agree with you that Callahan was so much worse for this program than Bo ever was. I'm glad Bo is gone, but if we had to choose between Callahan and Bo to take back, it would be Bo everyt time for me.
  12. So, would we rather get Semi or Akoy if both of them show interest?
  13. Yeah, I went to my kid's Christmas play too. He didn't sing or do any of the goofy hand motions. Just stood there in his animal costume, looking miserable. (Dressed as a wolf. Did they have wolves at the nativity scene? I missed that part of the bible. lol). I felt bad for the little fella. My wife was ticked off at him. I'm like, "Honey, he's four years old. Who cares?" My son doesn't have to dress up as anything, but he has been belting out his Christmas songs for the last two weeks. He's really excited to sing with his class, so I'm just glad that he's excited about it.
  14. We have our son's program on Sunday afternoon. I'm looking forward to it and dreading it all at the same time.
  15. Just bought a bottle of Pendleton last night for a good time with my dad and brother after some goose hunting next week! +1's are on me for hunting season and Christmas break!
  16. Thanks for the reminder. Should be a good one, hopefully the right team will win! Yes, third time in seven years we will be playing Washington. First time a regional is televised on ESPNU. If we beat Washington, I would think/hope we could beat BYU or Florida State. I would agree. If we can put it all together tonight, BYU/Florida Sate should be an easier game.
  17. That was good. I think I would have definitely been going nuts too!
  18. Thanks for the reminder. Should be a good one, hopefully the right team will win!
  19. I hope you're right. I would love to see the boys bounce back and get a good win.
  20. I like this format as well. If they ever do expand, I hope they don't have go any bigger than 8 teams though. I think it would just water things down and put less emphasis on the regular season.
  21. It would be the only logical choice right now with the whole coaching carousel we have going on right now. Something tells me Bo isn't going to go to work for Steve Pedersen I don't think he will either, but it would be crazy if that's what ended up happening.
  22. Its all about defense, Pitchford not over extending & help defense when Benny gets posted up. I agree, we definitely need to up our defense. I have only watched two games so far this year, but I really haven't seen what I expected to see so far this year out of this team.
  23. It would be the only logical choice right now with the whole coaching carousel we have going on right now.
  24. I'm just hoping to see improvement at this point in the season. It looks like a game we should be competetive in and possibly be favored in, but I just don't know right now.
