  1. As am I. I hope this team pulls a few upsets and wins the winnable games so we can focus on the actual product at hand, which is the team. Timing wise, we arent going to find out the new coach until December anyways, gonna be a long 2.5 months of rumor mill action
  2. Frosty's hire still tops. Now, if we land a massive catch like Urban coming to lincoln? I think that'll come close to the frosty hype, if not surpass it. I'd love a scenario where Urban is announced and we retain MJ as assist HC/HC waiting to be, to learn from urban for a few years and then step in when timing is right. For what its worth, I find the characterization of where the husker football program is today kind of comical. Win/loss record, sure, I guess you can say we're in a worst spot than when frosty came in but id make the argument this team and program is in a much better place than when riley got canned. This isnt a rebuild, we aren't getting manhandled by big10 teams like we did in 2017 at the end of riley's reign. We just need a funamentally sound coach, a professional and grown up, that knows how to run an operation this job requires. Its the small details needed, not a massive overhaul. We all bleed husker red, we aint frosty fan boys. If trev does this right and we get a clear professional to be coach, I am confident the hype train will be rolling again in full force
  3. its refreshing to say the least. I dont know how much first hand experience MJ has either but I'm sure he's had a couple calls w/ his brother Vance to get his take on why we're so piss poor defensively
  4. Says who? Its pretty well known that the likes of saban and urban are relentlessly maniacal about how their program recruits and they are/have always been actively involved as part of it.
  5. Will Urban's new nickname be Rural Meyer when he's our next coach and brings a title back to Lincoln?
  6. Its time we atone for our past sins. There's only one way to rid ourselves of the curse causing the mediocrity. MJ needs to bring in Frank, get him back on the sideline in memorial on gameday. Its the only way we lift the hex cast upon us these past 20 years
  7. Osborne had plenty of s#!t on his watch. Winning covers everything
  8. I think we need to be more worried about our own coach being out to get us. Refs r least of my concern with this s#!t team
  9. I’m talking about a 3 and out. I’m pretty sure our defense hasn’t forced a 3 and out yet this year. They’re f#&%ing embarrassing, worst defense in school history written all over it
  10. No like has our defense gone all the field all year and prevented a first down so a 3 and out? Like I can’t recall a single instance from all 3 games
  11. Have we recorded a single 3 and out all year defensively?
  12. Lets Keep rushing 4 and playing cushion coverage. f#&%ing morons r coaching this team.
  13. 2 things- 1. I think you’re both right. We’re fine as is recruiting wise to compete and win the west. I will say tho there’s nuance to that. We’re rated higher over the years but often it’s sporadic across position groups. I’m a big believer that above average to excellent line play, on both sides, is the most critical part to success in football (outside of a top qb which few qualify here). Sure we rank higher than a lot of big ten teams in total rankings yet for whatever reason, quality recruits and development of the lines has been lacking tremendously since 2012ish. I guess what I’m trying to say is I’d take Wisconsin’s/Iowa’s recruiting profile of killing it with line recruits but not as much skill players as it’s the foundation. Cracked foundation leads to issues across the board which is a way over simplified description of our program for close to 15 years now. 2. Posters were so respectful and cordial back then, I miss that
  14. This whole topic has been blown out of proportion. We seem to be jumping to the negatives of alternating play calls and ignoring the positives, ie an opportunity for 2 guys who have a pretty solid track record of being an o coordinator covering each other's blind spots, mixing it up mid-game adjustment wise to throw something different at the defense. In both games thus far I would throw far more criticism on our defense then our offense yet we seem to be so infatuated with frosty/whip dynamic. All of this to say, none of this matters with this porous AF defense we have. I'm tired of the "bend dont break", for what feels like the 10th year in a row we have a lifeless defense incapable of getting the team off the field quickly, incapable of pressuring the qb, and incapable of turning the ball over.
  15. Ayeeee JJ, message me the winning lotto numbers this week. Thanks bro! GBR
  16. Personally I'm tired of new threads getting spun up that already exist and have been well covered in 4 other ones
  17. I tune into football with the hopes and dreams of winning and excellence. If I was seeking moral guidance I'd go to church more often
  18. With all due respect, wtf r u talking about lol. Perhaps im missing the sarcasm but theres no way in hell arizona st is a more desirable job lolol.
  19. only if urban, art briles, and bobby petrino are on the staff
  20. If we curb stomp oklahoma then I will 100% forget about this blunder against NW. We need a massive win to turn this s#!t around, it be nice if it was against the sooners
  21. 100% of other blue blood programs would've shown Frost the door last year or the year prior 75% of P5 teams would've shown Frost the door last year or the year prior There are many things to call out about this program that could stand improvement, but fan support or lack thereof for Frost isn't one of them. We all (at least the vast majority) wanted this to work out and the majority of us still do. At some point though, reality comes into play and there isn't always storybook ending. Its deflating this is where we find ourselves but at some point you need to show results when it comes to big business which husker football falls into.
  22. The onside kick was dumb. However, I'm not pinning that loss on 1 bad decision. I'm pinning that loss on our piss poor defensive showing. Perhaps frosty's main driver in going for the onside kick was he realized our defense was porous as hell and might as well go for it seeing how we showed minimal ability to get a 3 and out
