  1. I’m curious, why did you initially think next year would be the validation year, yet because of covid you moved that forward to this year? For a team relying on young players and progress remains to be seen across the board, why would a shortened/disjointed pre season routine coupled with an even tougher schedule put us in a better position to succeed?
  2. It has to be Luke. We’ve seen what AM brings to the table and it’s indecisive throws in the pocket that are often not accurate and the guy, while shifty, would rather run 10 yards sideways and 2 yards forward than the other way around. i know a separate discussion, but after al the hype of our running back and mills, why in the heck does he only have 28 touches through 2 games when our o line seems to be one of our bright spots?!? we have talent available yet we seem to get too freaking cute with the play calling.. there might be an element at play where we have 2 qbs who are solid, not great, but they’re simply being asked to do WAY too much. Where are the drives where we rack up 25-35 yards on the ground (from a RB, not a qb) to open up the pass more? Where is the feature plays for mill to better our chances with a PA call? There’s an overall mediocre standard of play calling coupled with a strange loyalty to older players who ARE NOT athletic enough to turn a big play.
  3. It’s even simpler than that... just throw some freaking posts, fades, downfield option routes. Even if we suck at it, the threat at least makes the defense think about it. These dumb 20 yard pass sideway routes that only go 3-5 yards forward are called too often and they’ve NEVER been productive. It lets the defense creep up and stack more against the run threat and its not a talent issue.:: there is speed and size at the wide out position. While they’re young, they aren’t out talented by a northwestern team that was trash last year
  4. Perhaps he needs to find a way to pass the ball more than 5 freaking yards. Defense was there today. Once again, 99% of our play calling is a run or a dumb pass that goes 20 yards sideways and all of 3 yards forward. Even if he doesn’t have confidence in the down field attack the point is to at least have the threat of it so the runs and short passes have more space. This isn’t a talent issue, this is a JV freaking high school play calling issue. F’n embarrassing
  5. I think 2AM must have some incriminating blackmail material on frosty. I can’t think of any other reason why he’s still in this game and the starting quarterback
  6. Ahhh common man that first part of 2010 was pure pure love!!!
  7. Im baffled why this offense looks nothing like UCF... minimal plays pushing it down the field unless it’s a 3rd and long
  8. It’s going to be the downfall of the frosty era and it seems like he’s not gonna do a thing about it
  9. Stop excusing crappy coaching.... a false start on first down after a kickoff.... Scott frost has a leash due to the talent issue, but he’s welll past due on addressing all of these dumb, self inflicting penalties... that’a 100% coaching and it HAS NOT been addressed for years
  10. Well they won’t have to because we haven’t had a freaking defense with a pulse since 2009
  11. That’s not the refs bro; those are clear just dumb penalties. False starts happen but a hold 10 yard behind our qb running for a first? That’s just dumb
  12. For fuhks sake, when is this team going to stop beating itself
  13. Sorry to hear your situation, but you crazy bro. The only thing cancer and covid have in common is they both start with C. Whether you go out and live your life, or not, has zero impact on cancer. Whether you go out and live your life, or not, definitely has an impact with this covid crap going on. and btw- saban did NOT just have covid and then was magically fine to coach 3 days later. Saban ended up NOT having covid covid because it was a false positive test lolol... before you spout off with these conspiracy theories, do some research, BUDDD
  14. They also could have considered a division only format and do the seeding from there. I get they wanted to try and get 9 games, but, realistically speaking, that goal was only for the benefit of Ohio state for their playoff odds... Teams are making close nil with home games relative to before.... Just minimal thought put into a worst case scenario.... while I'm pulling for ohio state to take it all as im tired of the SEC+Clemson dominance, a growing part of me wants to see the tomato on big10 leadership face if OSU only gets in 6-7 games this year and misses out on the playoff as a result
  15. Good thing Kevin Warren can't help himself from tripping over his own feet. Guy has a shelf life of 18 months as commish, max. His display of leadership prior to the season was borderline nonexistent, the charge of no football based off the decision of MAC officials strikes me as a sheep move following the herd, and then the bright idea to move forward with a 9 game schedule in 9 weeks, when literally every single state in the big10 is through the roof covid wise... wtf else does this guy need to do to prove he's not cut out of the job and has by far the weakest credibility of all P5 confs... Only a matter of time before he negotiates a crap TV deal and ruin the one good thing this conf has going for it which is the TV revenue
  16. I just want to f'n beat wisconsin already, someone give me the formula for that to happen
  17. well, I think it’s safe to say we have the toughest cross schedule, and it’s not even close lol 2 observations: 1. the kickoff against Ohio stats is awesome. Front and center week 1- I’d rather play Ohio state to start the year, they’ll have some cobwebs as well! Fun way to open the season against a power house 2. Despite how abysmal we’ve been relative to expectations of this program for close to 10 years now, it’s pretty apparent we are the only national brand in the west. Despite Wisconsin’s recent success and Iowa always being right there, the big10 really has no brand to place against the heavy weights in the east to draw eyeballs and storylines except for Nebraska. I can’t think of any other reason why we seem to have more big time matchups on the regular to clarify, my 2nd comment is not a gripe at all. I f’n love it! It’s well past time to show we belong in the top of this conference
  18. U serious man? I'm sure these leaders have nothing better to do than scheme up a way to have medical professionals fake an outbreak within the team, just to spite them huskers out west.. We'll teach them a lesson alright!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Yeah man, this is 100% counter to getting football back lol Hard no bro
  20. Weird, my family moved from Nebraska out to the Bay Area in the 80s and this never happened once. perhaps u had it coming given your proclivity to boast about your acres of land and misguided hot takes.
  21. Of course army played... who’s the ultimate commander in chief??? isnt it ironic known and widespread risk of brain injury and bodily harm doesn’t derail football. But the .000001% chance over severe side effect does?
  22. Wait, I must have missed something overnight. Are we the only team not allowed to play now?? Wow this is rough! They definitely owe us an apology!!!! how dare they restrict only us from playing this fall
  23. I dunno man, i think they need to put it up for a vote before we reach that point
  24. Kudos to you man for taking a positive out of this. Keep up the healthy habits, it'll feel great and pay off tenfold in the longterm!!
