Pretty much the same could be said about any modern auto now. But yes,  that being said, I agree—it didn’t take long for the extended warranty on my F-150 to pay for itself.  

The high maintenance requirements and costs of most cars is one of the reasons I think electric vehicles and new companies like Tesla are going to slowly take over the auto market. The legacy dealership model is dependent on charging for repairs, and people just hate that.

@RedDenver You're still going to have warranty issues for all the electronics and infotainment. That's a big issue already today. Electric motors have fewer moving parts, but they are expensive and will have issues as well.
