Well, I hope we do get more rebounds from better players. For the record, I don’t think I ever said I wanted 5 guys from the outside crashing the boards. I remember times last year when we had players within 10’ of the basket and they don’t stay there to even try. I remember times when the ball would literally bounce off the rim right to where our guy just vacated because he just turned and ran. I hope Hoiberg’s system is successful. It was at ISU. Maybe it’s the best option for Nebraska because we have sucked at recruiting big guys anyway.

Here’s the thought that goes through my mind on that though, we continue to have problems with teams getting second and third shots on their end of the court. If teams aren’t thinking offensive rebounds are important, why is that?

Both, if you win against Wisconsin but lose to Iowa, chances are, the season will be looked at about the same as beating Iowa and losing to Wisconsin.

If this really is the case, then go ahead to Iowa. We needed a change at that position. But, I like the new hire and don't quite understand why WRs wouldn't want to come play for him....other than just not having a relationship with him yet.

I agree. And, to the bolded, this is why it's so frustrating for me to see close to Lincoln good players going elsewhere. It's strange. It seems like something has happened in the last month to turn recruits off. I have to believe it's the inability to visit Lincoln, see what we have to offer and keep building the relationship with the team and staff.

Well, it will be interesting. Fred obviously knows way more about basketball than I do. One thing though that drives me crazy is when we are on offense and someone puts up a shot and all 5 guys immediately take off to the other end without even thinking about rebounding. If we are going to rebound with 5 guards and wings, then that can't be the case. I know you have to get back on defense. But....offensive rebounds are important especially when you're throwing up threes all game.

I've actually thought about trying it. I was told I shouldn't run anymore due to knee problems.
