  1. I wish we could get Cuntucky back and steal one. Seems like he would be a good canidate
  2. He has the talent to I just think he needs another year to develope. He would get drafted in day 2-3 just on potential but why do that with eligibility left. He seems fairly intelligent and rolling the dice on a year early could cost millions in the long run... Aaron Donald was in the same boat a couple years ago, he obviously made the right decision.
  3. I used to live in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area for 4-5 years. One of the most arrogant fan bases in college football. Like the Kentucky of college basketball without the recent success. Cant stand their team and fans are worst! One of my favorite moments of the year last year! without a doubt! Getting that stop on 4th and 5 in the bowl game was probably my favorite though!
  4. Yeah, he caught one in the bowl. The miss that sticks out most to me was against Michigan. He had the safeties split and a LB in tow about 5 yards behind. If it's a catch, he's got a 50 yard TD. Yep. Thats ok because it was fun ripping their heart out at the end! Im still not sure if that lateral to AA wasnt forward
  5. Absolutely. It seemed like almost every time they tried that seem route that it was either dropped or overthrown. I do believe they converted at least one of those seem routes in the bowl game but that was so long ago i could be imaging things. What I do remember was that assbag Cunningham butchering the telecast, Anyway...I think he may be that breakout offensive reciever this year as he is finally comfortable in the system and its his time to make an impact.
  6. Year 7 and the same things. Turning over every stone, need to simplify to allow the guys to go 100 mph, no identity............... (and the hope that Bo is being savvy and misleading with the 5-0/50 quote) I alluded to the same thing in my post above, but have been proven wrong year after year. (I hope this is the one when we see some gamesmanship though) We want to win? Run the ball. Its that simple. As mentioned above, go with high percentage throws that TA can make AND receivers can routinely catch. Not every pass has to be a "swing for the fence". Nothing wrong with 5-6 yrd passes. See what the QB's can do in practice. If they CAN'T throw a curl, slant etc...... then quit trying it in games. Get an identity as a throat punching, in your face offense that physically beats you into submission This is 2014 and its not a video game. If you are throwing 5-6 yard patterns LBs and safeties will play tight man coverage or shallow zones. They will make contact at the line of scrimmage negating our wide recievers from creating space or seperation. Couple that with them stacking the box and all of a sudden you end up with a lot of 3rd and longs. 50/50 is the way to go and its up to Tim Beck to spread them out and keep the defense on there toes. Its up to our offense to execute. I know what your saying but I dont think it works that way anymore unless you got 4-5 lineman that are going to the league next year...i.e. Alabama from several years ago. Multiple formations and multiple personnel groupings and mixing the run and the pass will be more effective than being somewhat predictible! I believe that what TA was forced into last year being the QB that our offense was limited. I think they should be able to open up the playbook and be more aggressive and TA will be much more comfortable with the timing elements to all recievers. Thats my $.02 as I respectfully disagree
  7. For the record...I dont think anyone from the media has gotten our division right in the last 3 years when it comes to predictions
  8. I think its as elementary as being better on 1st and 2nd down on defense. Being able to be more multiple in base personnel formations early on will help create more 3rd and longs. In turn this should help with every stat that is being mentioned above. scoring, yards, turnovers.....couple this with TA handing it off to a stable of really talented Rbs and hopefully taking care of the ball we should be much more balanced. For the first time in a while I think both offense and defense are going to be good rather than one or the other! 39 days GBR!!
  9. ESPN has Billy Donovan and John Callapari as their two best college basketball coaches in the country....Coach K didnt crack the list.....thats right he isnt in the SEC....I understand now

They just might be favored in about 40 games next year with no line closer than -5?...It will be crazy.

  10. The hell with him. If he dosent want to be here we dont want him. We will be fine with or with out him!
  11. This would suck! He hasn't even got a decision on that waiver from the NCAA yet...or maybe he has and we don't know yet?
  12. Living in Illinois I have seen him play football multiple times and I have seen him wrestle as well. Physically he is as strong and gifted as anyone on the team the second he walks thru the door. Im not even that worried about his footwork as he is a good athlete from wrestling. I think the adjustment for Tanner will be knowing and understanding the playbook and different checks at the line of scrimmage, technique and things of this nature. Once he gets adjusted to this and he goes out there and plays rather than thinking about it he will blossom. I dont think he is going to start but I would be suprised by the time conference play rolls around you dont here his name come up in discussions about playing time.
  13. It would be nice if they can redshirt him but I have a feeling that he is going to work himself into the two deep and he will be out there getting some tick before his true freshman season is over. I hope we have the depth and the talent we can redshirt him but I think that he will be good enough that he will force the coaches hand.
  14. espn did their top 100 prospects....not good Monte Harrison is at no 18
  15. I just read an article off of my twitter feed from pro football talk that said the analysis conducted by the National College Players Association and Drexel University determined the fair market value of the average football player between 2011-2015 was a massive $178,000 a piece. That is all.
  16. i know it has been done in the past but I dont see one out there but if someone has some extra time could they tell us what possible recruits will be here this weekend?

  17. and his brother is going into the NFL draft out of Boston College. And I hope he plays at Nebraska
  18. Duke offer means hes probably has pretty good grades. Love his tape...kind of the same mold as Gerry but not as big. The facilities in Illinois just arent up to the standard of Nebraska. I think we will have a great shot at him if the offere is commitable. I believe Maroa-Forsyth is a 1A or 2A school but there is no question he flys around the field and can play a little bit..
  19. Tanner Farmer(35-0) wins the 2A State Championship at 285(Heavyweight) pinning him 2:25.
  20. Mr. Farmer is in the Finals coming up later today. Thru his first 3 matches he hadn't allowed a point.
  21. I watched him at the sectional at my old HS last week. When he grabs you hes got you and there is nothing you can do about it! He played football at about 300-310 all year and is down to 285 to wrestle. He is quick and strong as hell! I expect him to win but your right Mavric that Championship should be a good one. If it wasnt for plans I would be there in Champaign Saturday...
