Being a student at ISU I can say Paul Rhodes won't be leaving. He is very loyal and wants to keep improving the Cyclones. Furthermore fans over here understand that the good recruits from the south don't want to come to the midwest and all the fans are worried about here is going 6-6 to go to a bowl game. They don't pi*s and moan and want to fire him everytime they lose because they won three national championships 20 years ago. It's been said Bo's first two classes were terrible remember he was recruiting off of a 5-7 season his first year. They have improved it's just been slow because it's Bo's first head coach gig. Give him a break or we'll be hiring a new coach every five years then those of you that are whinning will see what mediocre really is.

I'll throw a few names out... Chris Petersen? (Did not know about his kid's health situation) Dave Doeren? (Lots of regional ties - KC, Wisconsin, Drake - he's a midwesterner) Dana Holgorsen? Gary Patterson? Well let's see Petersen lost to Mich. St. had a shootout with New Mexico State, and beat Southern Miss 40-14. Patterson lost to Iowa State at home yesterday by 14 points. I really doubt Holgorsen will want to leave WVU and furthermore we still wouldn't have defense if he was our coach. Dave Doeren lost to Iowa and beat Army by one point.... wouldn't really be moving forward.

Took him 20 years to build a championship program and Pelini was given a 5-7 team not a BMW. Exactly. We were expecting Bo to win the Indy 500 in a fricking yugo. I hate people saying "well these are Bo's recruits" Well how good can your classes be those first couple seasons? We aren't elite but, if we can stay solid winning 8,9, 10 games a year we will get better. Our records don't show it but we are getting more talent in Lincoln. I won't we don't make the same mistake we made with Solich.... Ohio gave him time and look what he did. Yes, these are Bo's first 2 classes, that were not great by any stretch, that are junior and seniors right now. We'll be fine. We'll get the 9, maybe 10. It was all Braxton Miller tonight. That and our turnovers, and our walk-on led punt coverage-again (this is a whole 'nother issue I want to vent about) +1

It takes longer than five years to develop a championship team with a first time head coach. Does anybody remember TO the guy we believe walks on water couldn't win the big games for 20 years. It's not like Ohio State is a terrible team. We aren't sub par that would be going .500 every year.

Like to know more ruth about this before getting too caught up in it. Tough to say, for all we know TO gave them the ok to look at potential candidates and he would stick around to make sure they wouldn't make another Pederson mistake. We knew he couldn't stay forever. We'll see though, will be interesting if we find out more as time goes on.

Well as an Iowa State student Iowans think that everything in Iowa is so much greater and that driving through Iowa is 100 times more scenic than Nebraska and even here they thought Neb/ISU was this huge rivalry... I laugh at that but, I guess the Idiots Out Wandering Around in I Owe the World an Appology City think the same way.

I've always like Marlowe I loved being at the Mich. St. game and seeing him almost score on a jet handoff out of the wildcat. I think he's got reliable hands too and is a great 3rd down target. Turner is good and should be on the field but, more development isn't going to hurt him any. I'm sure we'll see him break some big plays in the second half of the season.

How do we manage to turn a postive post about the OL into an argument about why the team lost the UCLA game? There's been clear improvment on both sides of the ball since then and there's nothing we can do about it now.

I think it would be cool to play it every year at Arrowhead like Mizzou and Illinois did in St. Louis for awhile. But, imagine the meltdown we would have with the increased odds of losing a non-conference game yearly. lol

I'm going to school over at ISU and I agree. I went to one game this season and I had to leave at halftime it was like people describing Wisky with their F-you chants and all that. So, I'm selling off the rest of my tickets. Also I heard Jamie on a radio show and he's all into moving things forward over here and would probably be a descent candidate but, it didn't sound like he likes Nebraska too much. He said, "We let Nebraska get lightyears ahead of us and that should have never happened."

Sadly I wasn't able to watch the game but, I quit checking it on ESPN's CFB app.

Welcome to the board and I hope you have a great experience Saturday. I think we have all heard the horror stories from last years game and obviously if you're stopping by here to wish us luck and tell us how happy you are to come to Lincoln then you're not one of "those" fans. Don't let anybody fool you we have them here too but, for the most part our fan base should be friendly and respectful. Again have a great time Saturday!
