  1. There is nothing wrong with stating the facts that you stated but that's not what Trump is doing with his statement. I disagree, although I am interested in hearing others' takes. What do you think that he was getting at?
  2. ^^^ What Mr. Trump is implying is that since Cruz is of Cuban descent, he will have trouble appealing to voters in Iowa. Cuba is only ~5% Protestant (even less Evangelical Christian) so attempts to appeal to the large number of Evangelical Christians within the state may be troublesome given his family heritage.

Thank you for allowing me to have my own perogative. Yes academics are great. There are a few exceptional student athletes out there and I'm glad we emphasize that.

  7. ^^^ this is correct. The US relationship with Saudi Arabia needs to end.
  8. Not only did I forget the "tilda", I don't even know about the "tilda", would have to be informed as such. But my question was relating to Mein Trumpf's "deportation force"--emphasis on the "force", I presume. Well, it's never going to happen, but I was curious how you personally would conduct such a deportation operation beings the INS is already a highly ineffective organization. They could learn something from the Nazi Arpaio, I imagine. Ok, maybe I'll use an "e" next time. and ok, I answered Oh, the tilde. For a minute I thought "Tilda" was Trump's Nazi mistress or something. So, you've resigned to admitting that Trumpf's alleged "deportation force" for ~11 mil people is only a Big Lie(just like Hitler used to do) and will never happen, we can agree on that. what do you think of Trump's endorsement from David Duke? Bad PR if you ask me, really bad, like "loser" type stuff. http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/25/politics/david-duke-donald-trump-immigration/ I don't think the bullying tactics for those who may feel differently than you do are necessary, nor are the comparisons to Hitler. Do you enjoy bullying people on the Internet? And endorsement and "best of the lot" are a little different.

  10. How does the US government document anyone else? Those in Customs and Immigration? Those wanting Global Entry or TSA approval? It seems as though we can have a similar policy with heads of households. Also, you forgot the tilda.
  11. You might want to ask our president to tighten up the borders, huh? I dunno. One hears of illegal guns coming into places like Miami, Brooklyn, S Compton by the boxcar and/or truckloads. Some say the CIA has a hand in that stuff as they've always been known to be in the arms trade to help fund their nefarious activities--you know, Iran Contra type stuff--ancient history, I guess. Fast and Furious happened across the Mexican border--ATF deal, they say. Those gun show loop holes aren't a good thing either. But that reminds me as per Trumpf's alleged Great Mexican Wall. Guess what, there's this thing called the Canadian border. Oh, there's also the Gulf coast, the East Coast, the West Coast. They make these things called "boats" and these other things called "airplanes", soooo... Also, I suppose a discussion as to the US's genocidal proxy wars in Central and South America would probably evade intelligent discussion--or recognition--on Huskerboard. Immigration blowback, sorry to say. If we're lucky, Mein Trumpf will have a fatal fall in the shower or something and we won't have to listen to his sorry self anymore. I'd applaud it, actually. Please tell me all about Panama and ESPECIALLY Nicaragua! The only C American country the USA Inc hasn't conducted a proxy war in is Costa Rica. As to Nicaragua, well, they never really recovered from the Sandinista/Contra thing--the Sandinistas being the Good guys, of course. CIA was conducting air strikes out of a base in Honduras, blah blah blah blah. Sandinistas eventually lost, blah blah blah. You can Google it. Panama was a back and forth thing over the years, I forget who controls it now. I can tell you're inquiry serious, I wonder how. Muricans are either ignorant of or in denial about the ugly parts of Murican history. No, my inquiry wasn't really "inquiry serious" because I already know all about this stuff. It was more in response to the "intelligent discussion" and "recognition" part of your post. Oh, well, not alot of people--in general--know about the USA's foreign policies--proxy wars--in C and S America, so my apologies. The fact that said wars were/are rarely if ever reported kind of adds to the problem. Chomsky is the expert on such matters, of course. Back to the gun issue. Thought I saw on CNN where they said 90% or so of guns purchased for illegal activity in the USA comes from about 10 gun shops in particular. Interesting stat about the guns, but, honestly, you lost at Chomsky Yeah, Chomsky, a real loser. Arguably most influencial intellectual on US world geo politics of our time, lecturing over the decades to 100s of 1000s of people--millions, maybe--a sleuth of best selling books despite little advertising. Like I said, you're not serious. You're a Trumpf guy, so that explains it. Or maybe you just like photos of his Mussolini type mug shot. You can patronize all you want and prop up the people you like as much as you want. I enjoy the discussion. I am definitely serious about Trump and all moral, nationalistic leaders/candidates, though.

  15. Not to pick on you but, it bugs me when people complain about this. I'm 48 years old and I'll be on my phone during the game. Friends sitting somewhere else texting back and forth. Checking scores. Checking tweets about our game. Etc. I'm VERY into the game. Suit yourself, again, the world we live in. To those who enjoy it because they get to be the center of attention, well....cool. What???? The second part wasn't intended to be in response to you.

  17. Much of the problem has been attributed to the lackluster Wifi or other internet capabilities inside of stadiums. Much of the younger crowd is more interested in tweeting about the game, instagraming pictures of them at the game, etc. than with the game itself. If the internet is bad, they don't show up, even with cheap tickets and the vigor of youth on their side. What a world we live in.
  18. I definitely agree with you and I think that this these sentiments relate back to what I was talking about regarding cultural differences. In the West, we want to believe that our accepted form of government makes sense for everyone else in the world. As such, we are receptive to those who would "agree" to implement such regimes while we assist with those in power whose ruling styles are not to our liking. When such disagreements lead to force, existing power structures, no matter how "backward" they may seem to Western eyes, are toppled, allowing groups like ISIS to rise. I think that if we can accept that our standards are not compatible with the beliefs and cultural nuances of others (which is a form of respecting other cultures), we will begin to see more stability throughout this region and other troubled regions. ...I'm skeptical, though.
  19. Zoogs, I respect your opinions and your tactful take on many issues. But watch the video above and tell me if these people are so helpless. Do you really want such incidents to be taking place in our country? My heart goes out to the real victims who, like you say, become victims through no fault of their own, but in light of the kinds of activities that have taken place throughout the crisis, I side with caution to protect the best interests of my friends and loved ones.
