  1. Wish there were a few more O- and D-linemen planning visits. Not many offensive and defensive linemen in the area that are at the BCS level that haven't already "ran" off to the SEC yet or committed to their home school where they live an hour or closer away from the campus. It will take time to fill out both sides of the line with commitments.
  2. Don't be surprised to see Mr. Lazard take some visits over the course of the next 10 months. He may take some visits to Pac 12 schools for official visits and could take some visits to local schools. I'm not saying he is likely to decommit from Iowa State at any time over the next 10 months, just don't be surprised if you see some movement.
  3. Alabama vs Wisconsin on 9/1/2015. Considering WI is moving to the 3-4 and using more West Coast type of offensive plays under their new coach, I don't see them pounding the ball down their throats like they could have under Bret B. I'm going to say it now, the game will be won by Alabama.

Can't wait until 2015!! We should do a college football pickem for every 2015 game right now and after that year we can go back and see who did the best. Sure glad you brought this game up.

Interesting schedule wise for conference strength. As far as predicting? Stupid.

  4. Missouri should be on that list as well. In April he is planning trips to Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Ole Miss and Florida.
  5. People need to relax and realize that the divisions will change some again when the conference expands by two more teams. If the two schools are from the East then they will move a couple of teams over to our side of the divisions. When it comes to balance of power, we already found out that became a disaster last season. Doing the divisions by geography is the best way to go about this. When the SEC started divisions the East was the power with TN, Florida, and Georgia. Now the West is the power. That is bound to change in the future. Heck, Georgia came one play away from taking down Alabama. Over the next 20 years you will see some seasons where the new B1G divisions will go from the West being stronger to the East being stronger and some years where they are about equal. College football has always been cyclical and that will never change. Just like how the SEC was not the power conference it is right now and it will eventually fade some as another conference takes over for a while.

  7. We offered him last week so we will see if the coaches can gain his interest.
  8. Per Rivals: Christian McCaffrey plans to visit Nebraska
  9. Pretty much the same schools he listed when we offered.... Miami, Florida State, Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas, USC, Notre Dame, Alabama, Clemson and Tennessee (in no particular order). I see him staying in his home state.
  10. Possible start in 2014. Nine game conference schedule could start in 2016. All of these moves are good for B1G football. Now to get the expansion done and expand the brand into SEC country and ACC territory..... enormous for recruiting.
  11. As the spring game gets closer we will know more names of prospects visiting. If you know some that are scheduled for a visit that is not listed yet, feel free to post the info.
  12. There are some rumblings that he may be thinking about taking some visits. He is still solid to Iowa State, but if he still allows coaches to speak to him then his recruitment is not over. http://nebraska.rivals.com/barrier_noentry.asp?sid=928&script=content.asp&cid=1474084&fid=&tid=&mid=
  13. Ummm....ok, we were his first big offer and doesn't have us in his top 12. K I N G ‏@MattrellMcGraw My Top 12 ABC Order !! Alabama Arizona Arkansas GTech Mich St Ok State Oregon Tenn Texas UCLA USC Vandy
  14. http://www.ncaa.org/...ing%20proposals They suspended the provisions on who can recruit and what printed materials can be sent to recruits. They're leaving the unlimited calling/texting up to the override, where they will review it if 75 schools request an override by March 20. So far they're at about 48.
  15. Sounds like Florida State has a 5 yr plan to be in the AAU. That could lead to UNC and Florida State joining? Getting into Florida would be enormous for recruiting as it would help expand the brand.

I bet Wisconsin and Michigan vote to keep them out. Wouldn't be the first time.

      That would be...interesting.

  16. Those seeds don't make any sense. N behind teams they beat in their own division....lol.
  17. No! After this season Martinez graduates. That leaves us with Armstrong and Stanton as the only current scholarship QBs for the 2014 season. The last thing a QB prospect this year has to worry about is being stuck on the depth chart. The opportunity to earn a starting spot will be there every year on campus. Alabama has 8 QBs on roster this coming season. Wisconsin has 6 QBs on roster this coming season.
  18. Expect Ohio State to offer soon. With an Ohio State offer does his star rating move up to a 4?
  19. Committed to Ole Miss. Good luck to the guy. Becoming more humble would benefit him as he heads to the next level.
  20. Mark my word, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Nebraska will rise to become Top 10 programs again. Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Arkansas will rise to the powers of the SEC, along with LSU and Florida. USC will continue to be overrated under their current head coach.

Consistent! One season doesn't make you back to the Top 10.

I'm pretty sure "Program" wise, you could still consider a lot of those schools Top 10 Programs... Recently, maybe not. Not a bold prediction whatsoever.

If we've learned one thing about college football, it's that the top programs eventually stumble and other hungrier programs take their place. Any number of things can cause a program to go south. Coaching changes or retirement. A sense of entitlement among the players or injuries can all take their toll. After a 5 year run most programs start to backslide and stumble. It happened to us after 97 and it will happen to Bama eventually and other teams will rise up.

  21. Good. I don't want him going to Alabama.
  22. JHopkins247 Jonathan Hilliman --> RT@Thrilliman23: April 1st I will be announcing my official Top 10 Schools. After that its a go from there!! I don't know how hard we are recruiting him these days. I know we were one of the first schools that recruited him. We will find out soon if we make his list.
  23. Teams that are in the running behind Miami are Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Nebraska, Notre Dame and South Carolina in no particular order. I'm glad to see Arkansas, Wisconsin, Auburn, Florida State, Ole Miss, Michigan, and UCLA not mentioned.
  24. It didn't past correctly after I clicked on 'post.' I just provided the link instead.
