The media all claim to know him personally. The coaching world is a pretty small world. I find it hard to believe his path hasn't crossed anybody on this staff at all in his almost 40 years of coaching. EDIT: Apparently, I may be missing the point. Are you saying it's more telling about the previous staff that a guy so well known doesn't know any of the outgoing staff? I honestly think this says more about Bo simply hiring friends and yes men. If a guy this well connected and respected doesn't no anyone here.

I live in Illinois here too and know what its like to be a Cubs fan. Frankly I stopped going to games and paying attention to the team as they have not proven its worth my time to invest in them. I agree that fans need to unify and boycott. I actually started the "Let the Sellout Streak End" thread last November after the humiliating loss to Iowa, and some were appalled at the thought of having that happen. But you are right...as fans we have to find a way to get the message out that it's time for a change. Pelini could go down with 2 notorious records as the Huskers coach. First, giving up more rushing yards to a single back in a single game in NCAA history. And 2, being the coach that let the streak end. Hey now, The Cubs are spending millions to renovate wrigley, have one of the best farm systems in baseball and hired joe maddon. I wish nebraska was making moves to improve the way the Cubs are right now.

Hmm I like the sound of that a lotYour HC wouldn't like having the next guy in line right next to him I understand that, unless it's a guy like tressel, who is looking for an opportunity to coach somewhere, but realistically, is someone we probably wouldn't be able to keep in lincoln for too long before he moves on anyway. Or even an older coach, looking for one last shot at glory. There are ways to find a good hc who would understand the circumstances.

Would it be a lateral move if Frost was given the title: offensive coordinator/assistant head coach and given a pretty big pay raise? Knowing he'd be the head coach in waiting? Sounds like a move up to me.

There has got to be a qb on this roster who can complete a pass.. A change is needed, what is there to lose? The qb play can't possibly get any worse today.

I think this weekend will be very indicative of how far this SEC bias really goes. There is going to be an SEC team that's in the top 4 with two losses. If they don't drop behind all the power conference 1 loss teams. Then we'll know all the commitees talk about wins and losses being most important was BS.

I think we could make it more interesting within the school. have to of the captain's do a draft. Just make a bigger deal of it.

We've seen TA fake the pitch and take it up field on multiple occasions. He does a great job of forcing defenders to either commit to him, or the RB. Not worried about Tommy's ability to run the option at all.
