  1. I still think it was either Grenn or Darryl
  2. All I'm really saying is the b1g is a much better conference than the pac-12 and Its highly unlikely they're a 1 seed and as successful if they're in the b1g.B1g top 6: Indiana Msu Purdue Maryland Iowa Wisky Pac-12 top 6: Oregon Utah Arizona Cal Colorado Osu Not exactly murderers row I think the quality of their team was verified by getting to the Elite Eight beating St. Joes and Duke in the process. I disagree. They needed that run towards the end of the game to beat a decent St. Joes team and Duke is not normal Duke. IMO they are barely even a top 25 team this year.

  4. I'd rather be middle of the pack than bottom of the heap As would I. I won't argue they'd be better than us but I don't think it would be by as large of margin as people think watching them play in the Pac-12.
  5. Oregon is a decent team and I think without question the best Pac-12 team this past year but I would bet that Oregon doesn't look nearly as good playing outside of the Pac-12. They'd probably be middle of the pack in the B1G.
  6. From my understanding they aren't following him here, it'll be Tristan's house while he's in college. It's a better investment than paying for dorms or an apartment. The parents will still live and spend majority of their time in California. Don't freshmen have to live in the dorm unless their parents are residents? This is from the UNL site: http://housing.unl.edu/residency-requirements I think the home would be for Soph - SR years. Correct. You can't live off campus as a freshman at UNL. I believe you can if you have immediate family(i.e. parents, brother, sister) living in Lincoln as long as you live with them in their residence. That's true. I was stating it as someone coming from outside of Lincoln, like Gebbia. I should've clarified.

  8. Well this is interesting. I'm not surprised by what candidates would be less taxes and which would be more but I am surprised by how large the numbers are, one way or the other: This simple calculator tells you how each presidential candidate's tax plan affects you http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2016/3/25/11293258/tax-plan-calculator-2016
  9. My sisters college roommate. She didn't graduate from UNL, just attended. She was at NU for almost 6 years and didn't graduate? I think he's N
  10. Whether the stats show it or not, last year was the first time in a long time I didn't feel like I had to hold my breath every time the other team's RB touched the ball.
  11. McFarland and Sons. It really is a great Irish bar. A pretty good friend of mine is the manager there. Here's the list: http://www.msn.com/en-us/foodanddrink/beverages/25-most-authentic-irish-pubs-in-america/ss-AAgDtwC This is the greatest holiday ever. All you are required to do is have fun. You don't have to be romantic. You don't have to buy gifts. You don't have to hang out with relatives if you don't want too. All you have to do is have fun. One thing about living where I am is there is a local cafe that serves corned beef and cabbage that is absolutely to die for. Even people who usually don't like it crave this guy's food. Guinness? Naaaa....you don't need to drink that. Drink what you want. Couldn't agree more. Except for the Guinness part, I enjoy a good Guinness but it has to be from the tap and poured correctly. From the bottle/can is crap.
  12. I find it interesting that Kalu seems to be ahead of Jones. There was an article not too long ago about how Kalu was learning from Jones and I think most fans thought Jones was the No. 1 at CB as well.
  13. I wasn't suggesting there would only be a 72 D1. I was referring to the college football playoff. I was as well, I should have said it better though
  14. I don't see the MWC becoming a legit power. I see the Power 5 becoming the Power 4 with the Big 12 dissolving and some independents/AAC/MWC getting scooped up to make 4 18 team conferences. It's ugly but that will be the direction, in my opinion Those are my thoughts as well. I don't see anyone but the existing power conferences (possibly minus the Big 12) being around down the road.
  15. What makes you guys think the Mountain West has any chance at being one of the power conferences? The only way I see that being a possibility is if the Big 12 dissolves and I think there is less of a chance of that happening than the MwC becoming a power conference. Is there other reasoning I'm missing? I also don't see TCU going back to the same conference they were all to eager to leave a few years ago unless there is some sort of major benefit.
  16. Utter may be in the running, but if he is the actual starter come the season we will be in for a long season up the middle. This is JMHO. Not looking for a fight. I saw nothing he did last year that makes me feel good about him. He got beat ALOT last year. Have to agree. Seems to have a good head on his shoulders and a good understanding of the offense but the athleticism is just not up to par...feel like this same conversation was being had about 2 years ago about a player at the same position. Really hoping to see Decker or Thurston emerge here
  17. Just got it for the xbone yesterday, played about 3 hours worth. Really enjoying it so far. Reminds me of Destiny but think I like it more.
  18. While the game plan for Illinois was very poor, it was primarily because of the wind. If you watched the game, we were burning their dbs all game long. We just couldn't complete passes bc of a combination of Tommy throwing in the wind and our receivers having butterfingers at crucial times. Yeah, I understand what you are saying and that is the exact thing that Langsdorf and MR said. Just becasue that is what the defense is giving you doesn't mean it is going to work. At a certain point you have to say this isn't working lets try something else. They finally did late in the 4th quarter to try and salt the game away. It shouldn't have been that close though, should have been up by a couple of TD's. Running the ball was working, but they just couldn't lay off the fact that their DB's were playing so lose on the deep stuff. I completely agree. It's not like running the ball wasn't working either, we averaged 5.5 yards/carry that game. Frustrating though (from a fan's standpoint and I'm sure especially a coaches) when you have multiple opportunities to score and put the game away but just can't execute (god I hate that term).

  20. It'll obviously depend on how we show in the first two games but right now, I'd guess something like Oregon -7.5
  21. As much as I like what POB brings and am very excited to see him play, I think it's pretty unlikely he takes the starting job. I think Tommy is going to be much more comfortable next year - in large part due to a lot more designed qb runs and plays more built to his strengths. I know for a fact the coaches were terrified of Tommy going down this past year - we all saw what was behind him. I think last year the coaches had to try to design an offense around TA but in a way that by and large, kept Tommy out of harms way as much as possible. I don't see those same restraints with POB now on campus.
  22. By NCAA rules, teams are only allowed to have 2 full contact practices/week during the season as is. Lessen that and you don't have football anymore:
