No I don’t but I don’t follow FCS one bit. I just assume that most successful FCS coaches get a shot at moving up a tier or two to coach. Seems like the natural progression. 125 coaches there and this tweet focuses on 3 with FCS experience somewhere on their resume and declares it the hidden gem guarantee. I’m guessing for every “hit” there are 20 misses. But no. I don’t know that for sure.

How many successful FCS coaches flame out and fail? But helpful to cherry pick the success stories. Correlation does not equal causation.

You don’t bring in “good,” if you are Mickey and you get a real shot. You bring in the best your money can buy you. And you do that in both sides of the ball. Honestly, I don’t even think Whipple is good enough. Mickey will lose a bit as a HC in “clout.” He’s a huge wildcard for kids, he’s not super polished and he will be learning everything on the job, including the entire conference. The only way he can shore that up is with an all star coaching staff. He’s gonna have to shoot for the stars with his staff.

Ya. My bad, now I feel dumb. While at the game I saw it wasn’t Casey and so I assumed it was Logan as a mobile QB was what were lacking after the recent sack fest. The QB keep around the left on the first down okay was open for a mile and so it made sense in my head that we had put in our “wildcat” package. in the end. It was Chubba. Who knows what kid of wheels he has but certainly not sure he brings enough of a different dimension in that situation for the QB change to have made sense. Moral of the story? I’m too dumb to know which QB was in the game but had I been in charge, Logan would have scrambled us to 7 in our column instead.

Still. For our team where it is at. Winning this game is the ONLY way to build any belief that we aren't a throw away team. There is more talent and skill on our team than a 1-11 team, but mentally we could certainly be that team. So.. Now we have 2 wins, which proves we aren't that team. They can only do what they can do, one game at a time. Win a game, build on it, try again with a bit more belief, cohesion and tenacity the next week. We lose to Indiana? Wow, now that is a team that is truly DOA. At least we aren't that. I'll be happy with it for 4 more days.

The first play called was perfect. Logan just needed to keep it and he gains 15+.

I’m hoping those drives we gave up where we looked like the old defense actually allows for a direct in game contrast in film study that allows the guys to gut check the difference. You are capable of good defense. Mental let downs lead to awful defense. Cut those and the sky is the limit. It’s clear as day in the footage.

When things were not working to the extent that we saw, I am not sure there is a difference.

Reading between the lines, I almost wonder if SF expected Adrian to be a leader as in, the HC level leader that SF wasn't, both on and off the field. He dumped ALL of that at AM's feet. AM tried his damndest to try to carry it all, but ya, it was never supposed to be his burden to bear. It was supposed to be the grown a$$ 'come after me, I'm 40' coach who was too busy scurrying out to find some brews and a$$ to focus.
