  1. Those people forget about the Wandale touch quota we had to meet in order to keep him a Husker..... Errr.. wait.
  2. Agreed. I know he did what he felt best for him but I think his decision was the wrong one and I certainly feel a lot better about the 2022 line with him in the fold. Time will tell, but ya. That was a big hit.
  3. Devil's advocate, we should totally expect better o-line play this year. I mean, we couldn't have revamped it any more in any other way. New coach, 2/5 positions brought in as upperclassman from portal.. Our most gifted o-line guys are young and coming off injury, so most able to be improved by better coaching and another year of S and C. If we can create a center somewhere, I am very optimistic about improvement. Now, do I think we will even be a top 1/2 o-line in the B10? Maybe, but I would be pretty happy hitting in that 6-9 ranked version compared to what we rolled out in 2021.
  4. Funhusker? More like ho hum Husker imo.
  5. What a coincidence because I also see you a bit like a duck. You crap on everything while you are around here and we all just wish you'd migrate 2000 miles away soon.
  6. What’s our freshman TE room look like???
  7. Players wanted this. It’s business. They didn’t want to have to stick with one program for 4 years and they want paid. Well now you get it. This is like getting cut after training camp. Land with another team if you are good enough. Hell, even the NFL has players sign contracts. NCAA wanted the Wild West. Here it is. Frost has an obligation to you and me to bring in the best talent that he can. There will be casualties, but I’d be much more upset if he wasn’t bringing the best guys he can. I’d also be much less apt to pay for my new 25k/year box seat. :p
  8. I don't see anybody necessarily saying they guarantee the team will be good with Casey at the helm, but you can see the upgrade in reading and releasing a good ball pretty easily on film. He will be worse at scrambling than AM. I mean, you can SEE differences, that doesn't mean he needs games in an NU uni to see that.. If you can't see that sacrificing scrambling ability for quicker reads and less time in a pocket will be a net benefit in this offense, then I am not sure what I could ever say to convince you. He also isn't scared to throw to a spot where his guy can make a catch. One of my frustrations with AM was he couldn't do that, he wanted his guys to be far and away open and his guys weren't good enough to be that often and quickly enough to match with his processing speed. Without getting too crazy, this will be the best the QB/offense scheme match we've had at NU since Crouch. Now, the team could still be bad. But the offense finally gets a legit chance to look like what we were promised in 2018.
  9. Logan isn’t beating out Thompsen. That’s like Mr. Ed hoping to outrace secretariat.
  10. Oh for F*%*+’s sake, Frost you crazy son of a b1tch, you are actually going to pull this all off. I PROMISED myself no more koolaide, but look at that magnificent glowing red pot of liquid over there….
  11. It's not you it's me writing on the wall there.
  12. Nah, he will go to the Raiders. He fits much better in the NFL, he distains the babysitting at the college level. Also, he has connections all through that program and he loves those California winters.
  13. Stone Cold people don't care about the weather.
  14. Ya, Georgia took an insurmountable lead in the first half through the air. They then moved more towards run, and, fwiw, scored FAR fewer points in the second half, when they were using the run game, than they did in the first. Run the damn ball guys needs to understand that the margins for error over the course of an entire game are far too thin with a ground focused attack. HAVE to be multidimensional in order to be competitive game in and game out.
  15. Dude. .Guys win these awards based on usage.
  16. Have you seen our O-line room? At this point, I celebrate pieces.
  17. Wandale yes. The other 2 nope. JD’s heart and mind weren’t in it anymore and AM couldn’t have ever gotten Luke the ball as they play the same position, just ask Luke.
  18. WATCH: Ihmir Smith-Marsette becomes first Iowa WR to score NFL touchdown since 2007 (247sports.com) Yes, the headline writes itself labeling Iowa as WR-U.. 1 catch for 7 yards on the season. His season looks so very similar to Justin Jefferson's 2020 rookie year. Iowa is where skill players go to die in the 120th ranked offense in all of college football. You can gloss that up all you want with a 7 yard fluke TD grab yesterday if it makes you feel pretty, but the rest of the world isn't holding their breaths to see what WR are coming up out of Iowa City.
  19. Also, we can go on and on about what a loss Keegan was, and maybe he was. But if Iowa doesn't make some offensive changes, Keegan will ultimately be disappointed that he is there. There will be a low ceiling for what he will be able to do under that regime. That isn't to say the same isn't true in Lincoln.. I am just saying, there are sour grapes in the water everywhere you look with the Johnson's, and if anybody thinks Keegan is going to put up all American numbers under Ferentz they are smoking. Even if he is of that quality, he won't ever get the numbers to show for it. He will have to transfer somewhere else to achieve anything of substance. '
  20. He would never have had any desire to go to an offense ranked in the bottom 5% of college football after leading a top 25 offense in 2021. Better check that log in your programs eye before worrying about a small splinter in ours.
  21. He's definitely got better fingernails than Slovis.
