Tyjon was the 4th best receiver on an average team. The entire core is underclassman at OSU. I guess, we had a similar player in Noa on our team and that didn't revolutionize the offense for us. Tyjon is not the mega blocker big bodied tall receiver that would have made a difference, and again, has not shown to be a difference maker in a small guy body either. He is average, and average wasn't going to help us. Bookie was benched a few times last year because he lacks the mental strength to be a consistent defender. Our secondary was not our issue last year, and certainly a kid who had some growing up to do mentally wasn't the answer out there no matter how fast he runs a line.

Avery Roberts maybe, but not really sure I see it with the other two. They haven't yet shown to be anywhere near the difference makers we lacked.

Ya, no coach has a Rob Gronkowski in his line-up and chooses not to utilize that.. So, if the kid is a game change in the passing game, he'll be running routes for Scotty.

Yes, I'd be leery of all of the "grass is greener," shadiness that would go on if absolutely no detriment in place.

I agree with you btw and am waiting a few years for the implosion. Offenses figure out how to adapt to defenses and vice versa. It is what drives the evolution of the game. The great coaches are genius' that are able to be introspective and adapt, of which I feel Bo is neither.

I don't think it is fair to blame those misses on his desire to coach an extra month. It was much more a result of just the general late start. If he would have come up to Lincoln a month earlier and left UCF, that class would have looked exactly the same. Yes, it was a cobbled together class, but that was just a result of a late start coaching change. He needed a year or two to get his foot in the door with his recruits, not 2-3 months.
