Well not buying the whole quest thing for MR. He was under pressure and about ready to get run out of Corvallis. I said it when it happened one of the all time worst hires in College Football. As far as Scott Frost I'm a huge fan, dude is a born winner and has all the traits. I don't think he is a good fit for Nebraska. The Oregon offense he is running is perfect for Florida athletes. Its based on pure speed. The Kelly/Frost offense has fundamental flaws and its easily exposed and defended by good defenses and good coaches. Oregon never could win the big one versus the big boys. I'll take a massive mean and jacked O-line and D-line with a top knotch Defense anyday over that fun high tempo offense. Defense wins championships as well as controlling the line of scrimage. I'm happy for Scott Frost and the success of his program, but lets face it. They've really not played anyone that tough. Austin Peay hung 30 plus points on them. You talk about a rising star check out that young coach from AP.

You don't have to worry about the Oregon job. Frost didn't even put his name in the hat when it came open. He has turned down several Power 5 requests for interest/interviews. He's not bailing on these players. I still say stays at UCF or comes to Nebraska after the season if MR is fired. I have zero concern of him leaving for any other school.

Also check out the 25 million dollar plus upgrade to the athletic facility at UCF. Building a lazy river and beach for the athletes. Total resort feel. I'm impressed with that AD. Wants to win and has a vision.

I agree skersfan!!! He has plenty of money. Oregon pay, plus NFL pay and pension, plus his current pay of almost 2 million. He's not chasing money. He has a vision of creating his program with his offense based on pure speed and I think UCF is exactly what he wants. I don't see him going to any other place besides Nebraska. I don't think that is a sure thing, by any means.

We beat the gophers. We lose to NW, Penn St and Iowa.

The trenches on both sides of the ball have been the number one problem for Nebraska Football for well over 10 years. Until this is fixed no coach is going to compete for titles at Nebraska.

I still say Scott Frost stays at UCF. He is giving his own money to help pay his assistants more money. The media reported last week how he said keeping the band all together is most important thing. He is the "lead singer". I think many of you are dismissing his character and how he values loyalty. He has repeated many times he is commited to UCF to build a championship program. I don't view that as just coach speak!!! Tony Dungy has also been quoted that Frost is staying at UCF. He was quoted as saying the power 5's missed their opportunity at hiring Scott Frost and that their are building something special at UCF. He is smart and calculating. I say he's at UCF 3-4 more years.

I respectfully disagree. It's not about money with all these coaches. GA from Oregon State just walked away from over 12 million. Frost likes to win and he put this plan in place after meeting with TO. Big factor with Frost is the ability to play golf and not fly all over the country recruiting. Interesting article when Scott got hired by UCF saying as much. He turned down several job interviews while at Oregon. Believe me I hope he is the 2018 Husker coach, but I don't see it happening.

I don't think Frost leaves UCF for any school this year. Man of his word. Had this plan in place to get hired at UCF. Largest student body in U.S. Orlando one of the fastest growing areas in US. Has a contract with Nike via his Oregon Ties. Check the space uniforms his team is wearing this weekend. Massive upgrade of the faciities and training facility. 65 recruits at last game all mainly in-state. Frost is a winner and has the "It" factor. He has said numerous times he wants to build that program to a national contender. I think he turns down all offers.

Scott Frost is building a great staff at UCF. Tapping into all the local speed in Florida as well. I expect big things out of that program. He's also hired former Husker Greg Austin and Ryan Held. Looks like Big Red South too me.

Great move....I'm bet one million plus per year prob closer to 2 million. George O Leery was reported to be making close to 2 million with incentives. Great weather and recruiting base. UCF just beat baylor in the bowl game I believe in 2014. I bet he puts together a young impressive staff.

Congrats to Scott Frost. Nebraska dropped the ball on this one, but that's ancient history and not worth talking about. Frost is a great leader and one heck of a public speaker. Oregon will be hurting because he was the best recruiter on their staff. He'll have UCF rolling in a few years with that hot bed recruiting grounds.

Scott Frost and the Oregon offense beat them. I'd still take the leadership of Scott Frost any day over anything that David Shaw puts out.

Mike Leach fired his D-coordinator last year and brought in a new guy. The Cougars are balling big time and one of the main reasons is a much better defense. Defense wins football games.

Great win by Nebraska. I'm proud of the fighter's heart the team displayed. I'd much rather have a winning record. Also please keep in mind how little rankings mean. Also go look at many of these teams that are ranked and where they end up at the end of the season. I think the Huskers will win out and finish 7-6. I never have and never will believe Riley and company are the solution. I've watched them too many years. Same old mistakes and weakness displayed at Nebraska. Sorry folks that coaching.

Yeah good luck with that one!!! Oregon will go to a higher bowl than that projection. Frost has them rolling and they've healed up. Just hung a school record 777 yards of offense on Cal last weekend. They would destroy Nebraska.

Hmmmm...stumpy1 not sure what Stanford versus Oregon game you talking about, but it sure wasnt last year. Oregon rocked Stanford 46-14 on nov 1st, 2014.

Who cares how many players from Oregon State went to the NFL. They've had a losing record the last five years.

Ha ha they'll need 3 DC's. Banker and his D has been getting tore up in the PAC 12 for years. Oh thats right we have so much better talent everything is fine.
