  1. Are you sure? Because it sure feels like Scott stole your girlfriend in high school or something.
  2. Had them beat? When? There is a reason football is 4 quarters and Wisconsin's style of football lends itself to close games with most opponents. On top of that, last year was not a close game. One thing that is indicative of a team that has more "horses" than the other team is a game that is close for 2 1/2 to 3 quarters but blows open in the 4th quarter for the team that has more "horses".
  3. Uh and maybe the fact they have been running their offensive system for decades and defensive system for at least 5 years. But, good golly, if you only believe in yourself, that is all you need.
  4. I wish people would quit misquoting him. He said it was a "game we can win". Is he supposed to say we have no chance and can't win the game?
  5. We picked it up. Farniok got faked out of his jock.
  6. Lack of football sense again. When you have outside contain. You have to keep outside contain. 4 ducks inside his blocker. Ugh,.
  7. These guys have no football sense. Common sense is a super power.
  8. You do know they run more than 1 route and the qb has to decide where to throw based on coverage. 1 on 1 on Stanley is usually something you look for.
  9. I think that is Stille. It looks like he may have screwed up as it looks like we were running a d line stunt where the outside lineman (lined up as lineman) crashed in and the interior two were supposed to circle outside. He just gets blown back and sheds his block to the wrong side from the ball carrier allowing the center to the second level to block Mo. Looks like Young was responsible for setting the edge, thus his aggressive move to the outside and over running the RB. But, this goes to show you that you can't really analyze this if you don't know the call and each players actual responsibility.
  10. I believe Colorado is on their 5th year with their coach and schemes and Troy is on their 4th year with their coach and schemes, so logically you would think a team on its 1st year with its coach and schemes might be a little more mistake prone and reacting a little slower.
  11. I'm sure Troy saw some things on film that they could exploit through alignment and pressure packages. Only the 2nd game for these guys in this system. With the lack of experience, you would have to expect that seeing things for the first time at speed would lead to misreads, confusion, and playing slowly as a result of thinking instead of just knowing and attacking.
  12. Bunch had already beat out POB in the spring (thus the reason POB left before the end of spring ball), so he was 3rd string before the transfers.
  13. "Buy in" is not the reason Nebraska is 0-2. Early turnovers and drive killing penalties that lead to 0-14 and 0-17 starts are the reason this team is 0-2. Despite what some people think, this team is not talented nor experienced enough to overcome starts like that against anybody in Div. I.
  14. Some things from this year that might suggest CU is just a little better than last year. CU 45 CSU 13 CSU is 1-2 also losing to Hawaii 43-34. However, they beat SEC Arkansas 34-27 Hawaii is 3-0 also beating Navy 59-41 and Rice 43-29. Navy beat Memphis 22-21 and Rice lost to Houston 45-27. Houston beat Arizona 45-18.
  15. And yet, just off the top of my head, that 97 defense gave up a td scoring drive to Missouri late in the 4th quarter that could have been a game winning drive had the offense not come back with the miraculous Davison catch from the "kick" to send the game into overtime.
  16. What is the standard? When did they meet it and when did they not meet it? Was there ever a season where they met it every game of the season? Does Alabama (the best defense of the modern college footballl era) meet that standard every game of the year they play? You sir have unrealistic expectations.
  17. Hmmm....really? Look at stats for 1997 Blackshirt defense against UCF. Pretty similar. People have unrealistic expectations and can't remember history very well.
  18. Man, there are a bunch of idiots on here.
  19. Grow up and quit drinking. Seems to be the life advice you need.
  20. Extremely hard to overcome a -3 turnover margin.
  21. He didn't make a play on the ball, had he done that, there would have been no penalty. He just went for the hit.
  22. I don't no how anyone can say that CSU is so horrible and that CU sucks because they only played against CSU. CSU lost to Hawaii 43-34, but that same Hawaii team just beat Navy 59-41. Scoring 59 on Navy is not something that happens very often, if ever, even by "upper echelon" P5 schools (Notre Dame anyone). So, from the only evidence we have, Hawaii is probably a better team (at least offensively) than most people are giving them credit. CU beat that same CSU team 45-13, so you have to assume they are quite a bit better than the aforementioned Hawaii team. From a defensive standpoint, CSU's QB threw for 537 yards against Hawaii and only 176 yards against CU. CU's QB went 22/25 for 338 yard against CSU which is a pretty good showing even against air and that Shenault wide receiver looked like one of the best. So, anyone saying that this looks like a cakewalk 20+ victory has lost all grips on reality.
  23. You've been waiting a long time for a fitting moment to pull out that gif, haven't you?
