  1. If I'm Farmer this is a win win for me in terms of the next level. If Farmer puts some great tape at Center than his NFL stock skyrockets as it shows he can capably play 3 positions. If it doesn't go too well, he's not going to get knocked for being a team player and volunteering to take on the toughest position on the OL going into his Sr. year. While I certainly hope that Decker can make it back as I think he was on the verge of some really great things, I'm strangely optimistic about Farmer at C even though I have no grounds for it. I've always liked Farmer due to his wrestling background and him transitioning to C should allow him to play at his optimal weight where he can maximize his leverage.
  2. Fingers crossed this guy turns into the AA HWT Nebraska hasn't had since *quickly checks* TOLLY THOMPSON. Holy smokes NU has struggled getting a quality HWT.
  3. Confirmed Ole Miss still dirty AF. This dude is a baller. Would love to see him N.
  4. I dig it. Green is for the money and gold is for the honeys! Preach Don Magic Juan. Preach.
  5. We're going to agree to disagree here and that's absolutely fine. I think Gates has a better shot at making a roster simply because the OL has more slots open and therefore more opportunities. I don't think DPE is good enough to make a NFL team as a WR and unless you're Devin Hester a NFL roster slot is far too valuable to use on a guy who only runs back punts and I think you'd agree with me that DPE is no Devin Hester. Now, I admittedly didn't watch Nebraska's special teams too closely so I'm not sure if DPE played on any of the other teams outside of just being the punt returner. I really hope both guys make teams and DPE is able to recapture the magic he had his freshman year when you held your breath every time he caught a punt because there was a non zero chance he was going to house it.
  6. Disagree there, I think DPE has the steepest hill. Let's be honest here, we can agree that at one point, Gates was a pretty talented guy and has put on some good tape and somewhere, deep down there is a good player if the work ethic emerges. I just don't see how DPE makes a team, it certainly won't be as a PR unless he can magically revert to his freshman year form. He has whatever the football equivalent of the yips is.
  7. Nebraska has the 5th longest streak going behind Florida, Michigan State (wouldn't have guessed that), USC and Michigan. Link included if you want to play around with different schools this is from last year. http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?abbr=N&collegeName=Nebraska&abbrFlag=0&type=school
  8. They all can't be choir boys. And that's spoken as a guy who used to shove $100 bills in people's mouths after I put them to sleep.
  9. Gotcha. Yeah, McElwain left a lot to be desired.
  10. I for one, will be stoked when we roll out The Annexation of Puerto Rico next season.
  11. Hey, if Skip Bayless can ride the LeBron James is overrated train for 10+ years and make tens of millions of dollars off of a ridiculous take than surely CornNation can get a few clicks off the Scott Frost is a meanie/TO is the devil train amirite guys?
  12. Spurrier a failure at UF? Lol no.
  13. I lived in Seattle, WA for a few years when I was a kid, it's fantastic although if you hate rain, it's a real struggle up there. That being said, the summers are typically so perfect that you're willing to deal with all the rain. Lots of good stuff to do in Seattle and Portland, OR. You can also jump a ferry and head up to Vancouver, BC from there. I still get up to Portland at least once a year.
  14. Most interesting/scenic--Monte Carlo Place I haven't been yet but want to--Maldives/Iceland/Palawan Islands in the Phillipines Travel advice? If you're going for an extended period of time to a non 1st world country make sure you have good health insurance. Make sure you know what time you are landing local time and try to acclimate yourself as much as possible so that you don't completely crush yourself with jet lag. Also don't underestimate the value of a good credit card to accumulate points/miles. I used to travel a ton and have a bunch of links to sites I use/used in the past. 15. For the record the off season has officially arrived! I think Sirius is just fine and I still get goosebumps every time it comes on. Granted I only hear it during Nebraska football season. I can't remember who said it in the thread but I've always loved DJ Kool's, "Let Me Clear My Throat" and would be totally fine using that as a 4th quarter pump up song. I was at Memorial Stadium when they blasted that after the MSU win and the stadium was going bonkers. Since we're playing hypotheticals...you need something with a sick hook and zero profanity. Yes, I can hear Jimi. I'm also fine with Welcome To The Jungle. If it's good enough for The Program. It's good enough for NU!
  16. Sneak peek at pictures from yesterday's event.
  17. Yup. Matthews underwent an incredible physical transformation once he got to SC. He went from 6-1 165 to 6-3 240. I guess USC could be given a slight pass as when he walked on in 2004 USC was at the apex of their powers under Pete Carrol and the next year they signed Brian Cushing and Rey Maualuga. https://dailytrojan.com/2011/01/26/matthews’-path-from-walk-on-to-nfl-star/
  18. While it would sting if Henrich commits elsewhere we can't overlook the fact that he's an Iowa legacy, Iowa has mollywhopped Nebraska for the past few years and they've also had a history of churning out some outstanding LBs.
  19. Robb is a great pickup. Can come in, RS for a year and duke it out with Luke Weber/Baptista for the 157 spot after Berger graduates. NU also got a huge pickup with Zeke Moisey transferring from WVU for his Sr. year. Moisey is a 2x AA and fills a huge hole that NU has 125 since Lambert graduated. That makes things interesting with Alex Thomsen. He's either going to RS or bump to 133 as I just can't see Renteria staying there with all the weight struggles he had. The question becomes what happens with Renteria and Red? You've got Brock Hardy coming in and one would assume he's going 149. Renteria is in a tough spot.
  20. I chalk it up to a couple things. One, Lindsey needing to adjust to the speed of the college game and realizing he can't shuck and jive and expect to make everyone miss. Two, Lindsey pressing because he got the ball so infrequently that when he did, he was trying to hit a home run every time he touched the ball.
  21. Much obliged NUance. I appreciate it!
