Where would he talk to the recruits then if he can't be at the stadium? After the game is over he can go there? He just can't be coaching during the game. He'll probably be in his office inside the stadium. He can then interact with the recruits in the locker room pre and post game and have maybe even have more contact with recruits as he won't have game prep that he normally would have

Ryan Leaf was clearly the #1/2 QB going into that draft. Which ever team was drafting second was taking him or Manning, there was no debate on that at the time. Hindsight it was a mistake, at the time it was a no brainer. I don't fault Devaney for that, nor the drafting of Bradford. Bradford suffered more from the lack of a good line in St L and a horrible coach in Philly. Get him a good line and a good coach, he'll be an above average QB in the L.

That's for scholarships the university gives out not pertaining to football. Examples being dual sport players or guys on academic scholarships. Essentially you can't be on a baseball scholarship or academic scholarship play snaps in football and not count towards the 85. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's the rule. But doesn't it work the same since his dad is going to be a University Employee, meaning free or reduced tuition? Doug McDermott was a walk on his senior year at Creighton to free up a scholarship. He had to pay tuition, couldn't take the reduced tuition rate he would have had for a family member being an employee of the school. So Alex could walk on, and his family would just have to foot the tuition bill every year. At least that's how I understand the workings of this.

I've cut the cord, got the antenna and also added Hulu. Talked to my brother, who still has cable and got his email/password for his cable and added ESPN to the Roku and can still watch that live. Don't miss cable at all, especially right now. I haven't seen a commercial in months. And I really like not having the $160 cable bill a month to watch 5 channels.
