  1. They weren't. It was a grind it out physical game, a lot of pushing, dislodging, bumping on every cut and shot. Weak call at the end, considering how the game was played. But Creighton should complain about how they couldn't outrebound a smaller team and gave up 13 offensive rebounds when they have a 7'1" guy basically camped in the paint on the defensive side of the ball the entire game. And they missed a lot of shots that should go in. They played a brutal second half that put them in a position where a bad call at the end could hurt them. Take care of business the first 19:58 of the second half, the last 2 seconds don't matter.

    NFL 2023

What team would he be good at? He requires a special type of offense and how much will you give up to get him? More importantly how much would you pay to get him? I can see Indy being interested, running the Eagles offense with him, but I doubt he gets anywhere close to the Deshaun Watson salary he wants from Indy. I can see Indy interested as the Colts new HC is Philly's old OC. After that, I'm hard pressed to find a team that would be a good fit for him based on his style of play.
  3. I feel very much like I did after the Superbowl, yes it's a foul, but it was also a foul the first 99% of the game and the refs didn't call it. Who knows what the outcome would have been in either game if it went to OT like it should have, but in both instances the refs ended the game on a penalty that they let go all game. EDIT--and very much like the Superbowl, that play in the last minute (or seconds) of the game didn't lose the game for either team. Plenty of missed shots and rebounds for Creighton in the second half, plenty of questionable decisions by the Eagles all game long.
  4. I’ve read multiple comments and heard from some staff that they feel the balls are over inflated. This causes them to have a hard bounce instead of soft “shooters roll” bounce creating more misses.
  5. As a parent, I want to be aware of major issues going on in my kids lives and support and help them as they grow and develop. In an ideal world, parents should be active and engaged. Sadly we don't live in an ideal world and too many kids will be harmed, both emotionally and physically, by having their parents know.
  6. It's not horrible, but considering how wild this tournament has been for her to have 5 teams left surprises the hell out of me, and that fact she flipped a coin for about 2/3rds of the first round as she had no idea who the teams were. Her Final 4 is Creighton, Purdue, Houston and Gonzaga with Gonzaga beating the Boilermakers for the championship.
  7. My wife, who knows nothing about sports has 5 elite 8 teams left...Gonzaga, UConn, Creighton, Texas and Kansas St. She used zero logic and probably flipped a coin more times than not to make her picks, and she thinks she's in first place at work. But she's not sure since she can't figure out the app and now doesn't want to look to ruin the surprise. She does have Gonzaga winning it all because "I've heard they are good in the basketball thingy for a few years now"
  8. I did not consent to my picture being taken as I was walking on that plane...
  9. Denver needs to fix the trenches before worrying about skill guys. Plenty of skills guys that can get the job done, need to give Russ more than 1.38 seconds per pass play before mounting up and galloping for his life, and maybe a competent head coach.
  10. With the remaining teams left, my ideal Final 4...UConn v Xavier and Creighton v Kansas St. Almost the Big East invitational. And for the Championship game, Creighton/UConn. Surprising amount of vitriol between these two programs. Would be great to see two teams that know each other and the fan bases genuinely dislike each other go at it for all the marbles. Reasons against the other 8: Dislike the hype around an above average Gonzaga program and enjoy watching them lose because everyone hypes them up so much as a true contender. They aren't. Alabama...won too much in other sports, eff them. Princeton...getting a degree from Princeton is more than enough, they don't need a MBB championship Miami...thug U, no thank U Texas...Texass FAU...I just think KSU is better and they are closer, and it'll be nice to the see the little brother get a good run. San Diego St and Houston...eff them just because.

    NBA 2023-24

Little disappointed, leaving Tuesday to go to Chicago for the Lakers game and it sounds like LeBron will miss the game. As a fan of the team, I want him healthy and ready to go to hopefully make a run for the playoffs, but selfishly, I very rarely get the chance to go their games, and wish he would have the Kobe mentality of playing. "Kobe didn't want to disappoint his fans, especially the ones in the 300 sections that saved up to watch him play." "I remember asking him why he couldn't just sit a game out because he was hurting. he said, 'what about the fans that saved up to watch me play just once?' He never forgot about his fans." - Vanessa Bryant
  12. yes, they were. Among the many things, they tried to illegal cross the border into Canada, I believe with their son.
  13. Well that should end the McDermott to ND rumors.
  14. Can big Teddy get a single digit? Is there a number motivator that could work for OLine?
  15. He did that to create a sense of urgency. We all know as soon as he made that statement, he messaged all of his Cheeto-heads the critical need to donate right away to help drain the swamp and get our country back
  16. I think this role is now filled by Draymond Green, Dillon Brooks, PatBev and I'm sure I'm missing some. But really in your face defenders, chippy, talk a lot and just get under the fans and opponents skin.
  17. It's crazy what these guys are making and how much money they are generating. You have guys in the league who never played meaningful minutes in the NBA and left the NBA as multi-millionaires (Darko Milicic and Greg Oden and countless dozen more). Man to be 6'9" and be a 3&D guy.
  18. JAYSKER ALERT JAYSKER ALERT JAYSKER ALERT
  19. We all know these are saucy nuggs....or trash
  20. Pokerface on Paramount+ is a nice nod to Columbo. It's like Psych and Murder She Wrote had a child.
  21. I wasn't at the game, and I can only base it on the comments and anger the family has. Not sure how bad it actually was or if they were overly sensitive because it was also his BDay and it was a rough game for him. But my gut says the family was on the receiving end of things.
  22. Know the family, and have friends that talk to both Max and Hunter's families. General belief of the families is that none of the three will finish their college careers where it started. That doesn't mean that coming home is a foregone conclusion, but for both Max and Hunter I think it's still an open door. Not so much with Chuckie at the moment. And who knows what the local schools will want when they are ready to move on.
  23. I'm assuming, that based on the entire family being upset, that the comments weren't exclusive to just Chuckie. I'd bet dollars to donuts that family members were on the receiving end of some comments. And that's where they felt the fans crossed the line. That's my opinion based on how upset the family was.
  24. Not sure if it was just getting booed. All I can confidently speak on is that it was more than just Chuckie that had his feelings hurt, talking to members of his family, the entire family was very upset with how they were treated when he came back. I didn't ask for elaboration on all that happened.
