  1. That is the definition of pass interference. Unless incidental contact was made, which I think Watt prevented his path to making the catch and it should of been called. I might have a Nebraska bias on the call but it should have been called. If its fourth down I could see a no call but he had no chance to make a play on the ball cause a defender was impeding his progress to make the catch.
  2. Not sure if this is a typo but do you have a son that plays for either team?
  3. Sam watched over this team tonight. It was evident with the coin toss going our way as well as the missed extra point and field goal by Wisconsin. Despite this loss we know he is watching over the Huskers and cheering us on above. What a game and what an effort, I am really proud of our team. On to OSU where we have a legit chance of winning after playing really hard tonight.
  4. Great Game and effort by the SKers. To spread some positivity I am throwing out more plus ones then usual because I am happy that we are playing better.

  5. You are finding a reason to be mad that we lost and I assume this is one of the ways to take out your anger. D-line played well, what happened to the defense as a unit playing well? With hughes we also would still have 0 D-line commits in recruiting. Linebackers got sucked in to much in my opinion and their running back Ogum. had a good game for them, its time to move on cause we can compete with OSU next week with a performance like this.
  6. I predict we score 27 for a third straight game and win 27-24 Nebraska has a prove to us you are good week to the nation The D-Line needs to get to Hornibrook, because if they don't he will be able to make plays on us. We might need to blitz 5 or 6 on third down if we are struggling to get to the qb. Mick is a great player but on third down I would prefer a Davis twin in pass rush over him. Mick is a great run stuffed, but if he gets his first sack this week that would really help. Wide receivers need to get open because we will struggle running the ball against them, if we have Oz I am confident we will be able to run better though. Turnovers will be huge, I say whichever defense can create short fields for their offense will win this game. To win this game we need a pick and force a fumble because I predict Tommy will make at least one mistake. So win the turnover margin. Be up a td in the fourth and get a td early, we don't want this crowd rocking while Wisconsin is up 10 in the fourth quarter.
  7. If you live in Florida and New York or own property in both states, you can legally vote in both. I am not sure if that applies to all states but I highly doubt it does. Someone voting twice isn't going to change the outcome of an election, but regardless voter fraud happens. It happens and its just part of the election, some will probably happen this year as well. The UN I heard is apparently watching the election for voter fraud, that is ridiculous they can let American citizens watch the election for fraud. Thanks Obama for having the UN watch the US election which people from our own country could easily do. Regardless it happens and it can be stopped but it will have a minor impact on the election. It is a violation of federal election law to vote in more than jurisdiction in the case of federal candidates, no matter the technical rules of the local state laws. I don't believe it is legal to vote in either state if you vote in any other state - period. The problem is that the local precincts don't attempt to verify eligibility. This is supposed to occur when voting actually occurs. The polling place is supposed to verify you are properly registered to vote and that you are properly registered. It is a crime to vote in the wrong place within a state or to vote in any state EXCEPT the state in which legally reside. You can only have ONE legal residence and it is generally the state you call 'home' or where you intend to call your home. You may own 'residences' or houses for example all over the place but ONLY one can be your 'residence' for tax and voting and driver's license etc. purposes. Most basic residence requires some amount of time 'residing' there again reside means intent to call it your primary home. Yea my bad I said someone could vote legally in Florida and NY, it is not legal, but some people do it. Again if someone got away with it, they wouldn't change the whole election by voting twice. I bet it happens but so few people do it that it won't make or break the election. Thanks for clarifying my mistake I worded it wrong.

BO or GO or BOGO? Does that me if I say Go Big Red, I get one for free?

  10. Why do you say that? He says it because it is the truth. Mav is a recruiting expert, I would say he may be better at recruiting info then some of the guys on ESPN. He reads lots of articles from various sites and goes off that to give the board good info. Thanks. I don't know if I'm an expert but I do read a lot. So I basically steal all my ideas for others. He seems thinks we have enough young DBs so he's looking elsewhere. Apparently that sentiment is making the rounds in the recruiting circles. Which seems a bit odd to me. I do like several of our young guys but I don't think we're totally set there. Not like a bunch of them are already on the field playing or anything. Well lots of ESPN guys steal ideas too, it was just a funny comparison because I would rather read your info here, then pay 5 or so dollars a month to read recruiting articles. Twitter can also be a really good friend for recruiting news, especially when a kid commits.

  12. Hawaii in 2007 comes to mind as a bad team to start 7-0. The mighty San Jose State team took them to OT and Hawaii won. Nebraska would beat that Hawaii team by 14 plus points. They had some talented receivers but no rushing game, and defensively they were a mess and Georgia exposed them. We actually play somebody this week, so if we win nobody will think Nebraska is simply a pretender.
  13. What makes you think they could beat someone who has spent 8 years in the White House, been a Senator and been Secretary of State when they couldn't beat a reality TV show host? Dems are moving towards socialism? The rich have never been richer, corporate profits and stock markets are at all time highs, and wealth inequality has never been greater. The GOP's new standard bearer suggested a ban on Muslims, a direct violation of the first amendment. You're right on with that assessment. I was saying a legit Republican candidate could most likely best Hillary in a presidential election. More people would be worried about her being president over a legit repub candidate. Well Bernie is pretty much a socialist, and he should have won the dem nomination if it wasn't for the Super PACs or whatever the dems have. 15 dollars and hour moves people to the middle class, also taxing the rich more moves them down some, not much though. We then have less people employed due to the increase in minimum wage I would suspect. I may have gone a little extreme on the socialism part about the dems, but it seems the dems want more govt control with increased taxes, obamacare and stuff like that. The reason for the ban on Muslims is because most Muslims don't become a part of the countries culture. They walk around forcing their beliefs on people(maybe not in the US but they are doing it abroad) and they vote strictly on religious beliefs and not whats good for America. Once they get enough people here, they will vote Muslim candidates in to government and vote strictly on Muslim beliefs, not for the betterment of America. Catholics represent well in both democrat and republican votes, which proves they vote on country because it is their obligation to vote. It proves they aren't strictly voting on religious beliefs. I don't want Muslims coming in because some of them come in trained to do horrible things to our people. Some do nothing wrong at all, the problem is finding the bad ones and getting rid of them. If the Muslim person is not a US citizen it is not unconstitutional because this applies to US citizens. I do not believe we need to rid of any US citizen Muslims unless they are a threat to the safety of all Americans.
  14. I wouldn't mind Trump being president, but if he loses I believe this is his last go around. The GOP needs to run a legit candidate that can be a great on the debate scene and cause Hillary to get nervous. I would bet Cruz or Rubio could easily be beating Clinton in her debates, and they would be able to debate her with a clean sheet, unlike Trump. In 2020 a Cruz Rubio ticket either way could beat Clinton and both would be able to hold their own or win any debate with her in my opinion. To the op, Democrats are slowly moving us toward socialism, while the Republicans are moving us back to the Constitution. That is how I have interpreted both parties leading us. Now that does not apply to all dems or all repubs, but a majority of the beliefs are what I stated above. Both parties have elected officials that say they will do something and then they go against what they say. All talk no action is evident in tons of these officials, the average American just doesn't bother to look and see what their elected officials have voted on. Obama showed up to the senate 27 percent of the time in the senate or around that much and got elected president. We need a strong leader that fights for everyday Americans, works to create jobs and get us out of this debt. One that lowers taxes on hard working Americans and one that is honest and one that is for America not globalism. I don't know what will happen, but I don't think the GOP breaks up unless another ego outsider comes to power in the repubs in 2020. A great leader that is honest and loves to put their country first is someone I want in the Republican party and someone who could save the party. If GOP doesn't put a president in by 2024 then the party might be in trouble, but all of this "break up" is greatly exaggerated by the media.
  15. Everyone I know keeps saying we are going to lose, and some say by a lot. We will see Saturday, but the blow out days of Po Belini are over. I have confidence that the Huskers will pull it off and score 27 for the third straight game and they will get a win scoring that much. Defense gets a pick and offense scores on a short 20 yard field. Both teams will be amped to play this game, but I say we will our way to a win.
  16. Who voted Tennessee Mavric, smurphy14, nphuskers12, L.husker713, Warrior10, seaofred92, swmohusker, sho, CMT1525, DrunkOffPunch, LumberJackSker, Army_Allen I got you Mav!
  17. That took a while for him to say he got an offer.
  18. Lets just hope Nate Gerry doesn't mistake Corey Clement for Melvin Gordon this Saturday and whiff on tackling him. In reality we should be playing with a chip on our shoulder and come in to win. We should play with tons of pride after what has happened the past few years and we should come out firing like it is the last game of the year. This team is going to need big plays from everyone even if that is blocking really well for the rb on the edge. Defend the Jazz Peevy jet sweep that OSU struggled with and frustrate Clement early. If Clement gets going early on it won't be good. I just don't see a loss by more than 7 points to this team, they don't run the ball amazing and they use two qbs still. So our defense will be challenged nonetheless and we will find out if the Blackshirts are legit. Despite this lacking offense they seem to always find yards on our defense every year. I think our offense will do fine because they will miss a beat or two on defense without Clichy and that NT.
  19. Watching some of Wisconsin v OSU they are really good at their 3-4 defense. It seems if we use some zone read run with Tommy, they like to take the rb a majority of the time. If our oline can make just some holes in this game Newby can get past the linebackers and force the secondary to catch him and make a tackle. They love to bring Watt and put him on the defensive line to blitz. They hit the gaps hard, so a fake handoff to Newby and have Tommy pass after the fake handoff will leave a TE or WR open 10 yards up the middle. Only watched some of that game, I plan to finish watching some more of it, probably won't watch the whole thing but will update you on their offense and defense some more in my next post.
  20. I wonder if they will bring out both QBS or just Hornibrook this game. Regardless stop the dad gum jet sweep and play disciplined football. Play smart on offense and we need some big plays in this game to help us out. And the result will be a Win, GO BIG RED.
  21. Nebraska 27 Wisconsin 24 Pass- 201 Rush- 147 Three games in a row we get 27 points and a win.
  22. If we beat Wisconsin they will fall to like 15th in the polls lol

I get annoyed when teams get rewarded with "good losses" like Mississippi and Wisconsin have this year.

Although Wisky does have a good win against LSU and a solid win at Iowa.

Hey the more ranked BIG teams the better... Penn St. Should Def. be ranked right now. - Tired of having every single crappy SEC team ranked.

  23. I am hoping for a W and I believe we can win every game this year as long as we clean up lots of things. So what do you want to see out of Nebraska on Saturday? Better special teams would be a fantastic start. More consistency on offense, it seems we make really good plays but then a few plays later cause a boneheaded penalty. We need to put up 21 plus to beat Wiscy this week. I want us to come out smashing them and playing like we deserve to win. These players know they were robbed a win one year ago, so I presume they will be fired up to play. Corey Clement needs to be limited, also it will be interesting to see if his comments last year are still in the minds of the players. He didn't play last year so I wonder if the players remember him bashing Nebraska one year ago at B1G media days. Better line play on both sides would be huge for us, if we can run the ball, I think our wideouts can beat their corners. They struggled some against OSU's wide receiver's and I believe we could exploit them also. One turnover Maximum in this game and under 75 penalty yards and that will show improvement in a hostile environment where they have destroyed us in the two games we have played in Madison.
  24. Yea I think one time Tommy handed the ball off and the Purdue D lineman was in the backfield in an instant and hit Newby right away. If Tommy kept it he probably was gonna run for a first down, but that obviously wasn't the play call so the line needed to block better. It seemed the O-line struggled on the interior and I think Sam Hahn struggled throughout this game. Wisconsin has a really good defense but I believe we should be able to throw on them. They will stack the box on us I presume, so it will be interesting to see what adjustments Langsdorf makes in the future games.
