Once you take a coaching change out of the options, one can begin to make productive criticisms and stop sounding like a child. Children go straight to firing the coaches. Do you go straight to firing someone? Well.. Then you're a child.
  2. Maybe its just me.... buutttttt how do you say that when they allowed a team like Illinois to score with less then a minute and no time outs. TWO pass int. calls It's you. It's easy to always spot the people who likely never played the game. Not saying that is s bad thing but If you did you would probably understand the sentiment "you can't play defense all night". This one is on the offense. Clear as day. No questions. Dont agree? You don't understand the game.
  3. If we anrt playing in the playoff why even care if we go to a bowl game? Just my opinion.
  4. First year staff deserve a year to review. Then they also need considerations to attain their "own" guys for the system.
  5. The officiating crew should be turned in and reviewed. I watch a lot of football and was dumb founded 2-3 times.
  6. Or should I say the Midwest in general? Surely they have blustery days on the west coast? The wind was howling and yet we went to the air- time and time again. There is nothing I admire more about this new staff than their willingness to adapt. They bench players when making bone headed mistakes, they try to new things to see what works. Well this was their ultimate wake up call. Will they be willing to get out of their comfort zone and get away from the dink and dunk on days when the wind is howling, the receivers arnt catching, and well... Tommy isn't on. These days will come.more.often than not and I think that is the great lesson they can learn from Pelini and Osborne. Some nights we're going to have to just pound that rock all night until it breaks. Here's to hoping it happens and lets get behind the team. Cheers
  7. #TeamMike. God forbid we give them some time. Only the 2nd road game I bet they barely have it figured out on what they want their routine to be.
  8. I'm up bright and early ready to sunshine pump. Go Big Red. #TeamMike. WISC will not beat us in Lincoln.

Ha ha! Lux, you are a glass-half-full guy even when the glass seems to be broken. Nice!

  9. BYU is a great football team, Miami is a great ball team. We have been 1 play away from winning every contest we have played this season. Can you find it deep down. Inside to not act like a child on this one and maybe, just maybe give this staff a little time to put things together. 3 shut out first half's, the best WR tandem in the country. When the cylinders hit on both sides of the ball, at the same time, we can beat anyone in the B1G.
  10. Defense played great. Offense on the road with bad weather and a very questionable officiating crew, meh. If the coaches can get this team to play a full 4 quarters to their potential we will have a great ball club. Let us give them time, gentlemen.

Wasn't there talk about using one of them at DE? Khalil maybe? Seems like we could use some help there.

I would rather have them next season. This year could end up a wash. Keep their eligibility for a run next season.

What happened to Peyton Newell in all of this DL talk?

  13. It's all part of the process
  14. Have you been drinking whisky
  15. Yes You get that from your physic or your crystal ball? I don't know what a physic is, but I got it from Riley's resume and the product on the field. BS. You had that opinion 9 months ago. That would be the Riley's resume part of the equation. Thesker could you please compile a comprehensive resume of a coach that is qualified to fill the position, after doing so please give us 3 names of coaches that meet or exceed your résumés qualifications. Thanks in advsnce
  16. Destroy the run, make the throw, have good red zone defense. The right formula. If our red zone offense would have stayed in pace the game goes 58-28.
  17. Michigan States Defensive stats in the top 50 14th in red zone defense 32nd in rush defense 46th in scoring defense 7th total sacks 18th in tackles for losses
  18. Top 50 in the following -Offense- Nationally(through 4 games) 13th in First downs 17th in Passing Offense 33rd in red zone offense 37th in scoring offense 21st in Time of possession -Defense- Nationally(through 4 games) 27th in 3rd down conversions 31st in Red Zone defense 7th in Rush defense 32nd in Total sacks
  19. I agree with you completely. I never said we won't be in barn burners. It will come down to a shoot out likely every week. But we arnt going g to get blown out and I only said we will be in position to win every game we play. An improvement from last year IMO.
  20. southern miss actually is a college program. FBS level even. Sweet what conf? SEC I assume based off how they almost beat us, continually exposed known problem, did trick plays to us! ISNT THAT FUN?!??!??!?! ON SIDE KICKS ARE THE BEST!They played a miss St team fairly close sir. If you are an SEC size queen. Which by your above comments I will assume you are.
  21. Absolutely. But there are positives. And I think giving up 500 yards passing 28 points vs 500 yards rushing 59 points is an improvement. If the games are a microcosm of what the season has in store for us, we will get better as the season goes on. It's a new coaching staff, its early, I'm happy with where we are this early in "the process" and I can't wait to see what things look like in the coming weeks and years. Imagine a team of seniors who have been under this tutelage. Be excited gentlemen, good things to come We've gotten worse in pass defense, every single week. And thats with 2 teams who couldn't run the ball. A team like MSU, Wisconsin, or even Iowa will throw all over this D. I never said they won't throw all over us. But how many points will they put up?

  23. Yep. Dead last in either category is a recipe for disaster against teams with a pulse. Our run D has yet to be tested. Why run against us when your QB can have a record setting outing against us. Not to mention we will probably spot you another 100 yards in stupid penalties....... BYU and Miami both have strong pulses my man. Neither of those games I would describe as a disaster.
