  1. Here is last year's Oregon offensive output, ordered by worst to best. I don't think it makes too much sense to go back any further since Mariota was a boss. Total Rush Pass Opp Result Score 400 222 178 Utah L 20-62 419 186 233 TCU L 41-47 432 123 309 MSU L 28-31 436 231 205 Stan W 38-36 442 170 272 UW W 26-20 501 186 315 ASU W 61-55 533 410 123 WSU L 38-45 537 361 176 CU W 41-24 539 311 228 GSU W 61-28 578 171 407 USC W 48-28 674 228 446 OSU W 52-42 731 485 246 EWU W 61-42 777 477 300 Cal W 44-28
  2. I was talking to my dad on the phone last night and he brought up a discussion he heard/read somewhere about the refs. They going to be Pac12 refs, and they are more liberal with regards to not making the offense be set for a full second before a snap and not giving the D as much time to sub when the O subs, since they see more of these types of offenses.
  3. Both those seem to be tough benchmarks. If we somehow do both, we win hands down IMO. They only rushed for under 150 once last year (lost to MSU). A better benchmark might be 200. They were 3-2 in those games (wins UW, ASU, USC, losses to MSU, TCU) They scored under 33 points 3 times last year (lost to MSU, Utah, won UW).
  4. In your opinion, what would you consider a success for the Blackshirts vs Oregon? Less than 500 total yards? Less that 40 points? 3 or more TOs? Just getting a W? 2016 Oregon Offense vs UC-Davis 251 rushing yards / 6.8 ypc 271 passing yards / 9.0 ypa 522 total yards / 7.8 ypp 53 points 2016 Oregon Offense vs Virginia 301 rushing yards / 6.7 ypc 331 passing yards / 10.7 ypa 662 total yards / 8.3 ypp 44 points 2015 Oregon Offense Average 280 rushing yards / 5.9 ypc 258 passing yards / 9.0 ypa 538 total yards / 7.1 ypp 43 points
  5. Way more at the link. An interesting read if you are either for or against Trump. Hillary going hard at this on social media today. Hopefully this picks up steam after the TrumpOz Fest dies down https://twitter.com/hillaryclinton/status/776117687936282624
  6. Oregons streak just ended opening weekend against UC Davis Pretty sure #2 is Notre Dame (literally and figuratively). And they were ahead of Oregon.
  7. I can't wait to see what we learn in the Oregon thread
  8. I am taller and heavier than most of Nebraska's OL

Well, I guess you'll have to walk on then.

  9. None of my argument is false - you are just hyper attentive to minor throwaway statements. If I'd simply said, "Navy's OL is approximately the same size as Nebraska's," what would you argue? I wanted to stay out of this thread because it has turned into a sh#t show like many others. If you had said they are approximately the same size, I wouldn't have said a thing. But you didn't. I am not hyper attentive to anything. I just read that and thought it couldn't be true, so I looked it up. And I am glad to see that you think you have a lot of "throwaway statements". Many of us agree.
  10. Your original statement is completely false. But good job coming back and moving the goalposts, which is your typical move.
  11. Navy is not what would be considered a successful program to emulate. Sorry, but that's batcrap crazy dude. Especially when they play such weak teams from their conference...put them in the B1G with their offense as it is and they end up looking like Northwestern this year. Totally agree with this. The service academies can't recruit 300 lb fat linemen because of height/weight restrictions imposed by the military. You can get a waiver if your BMI shows a low fat content (weight lifters that pack on muscle for instance) but there is no such waiver for someone with a beer gut. They have other restrictions and disadvantages as well. How many kids want to go play for a service academy and then have to serve in the military for an extended period. (How long depends on your career path.) Navy's starting OL is taller and heavier than most of NU's starting OL. NU has disadvantages, too. We should admit that and figure out ways to attack obliquely rather than frontal assaults on the Alabama's and USC's of the world. 12. These people go deep on the film study.
  13. Saw this today. Its an interesting take on conflicts of interest between Trump's business and US foreign policy if Trump were to win the presidency How the Trump Organization's Foreign Business Ties Could Upend U.S. National Security Way more at the link. An interesting read if you are either for or against Trump.
  14. Linked in my tweet above. Here is the non-tweet link: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/how-donald-trump-retooled-his-charity-to-spend-other-peoples-money/2016/09/10/da8cce64-75df-11e6-8149-b8d05321db62_story.html
  15. lol His speeches where he says we are going to "take the oil" or when he says he has a plan for ISIS "but I am not going to tell"
  16. To contrast, the Clinton's have given $22.5M over the past 15 years to their "smaller" Clinton Family Foundation. That is not the Clinton Foundation that is in the news, but where Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea would direct their own private charitable contributions. And of the $22.5M in their smaller foundation, they have given $5.4M to the larger foundation.
  17. I can't get this to be any smaller, so I spoiler'd it
  18. The article goes into detail on this:
  19. Yes, that is how the Red Cross and similar organizations work. That is not how standard "rich people" charities work. Most of the time those "rich people" actually donate to their charities.
  20. This election can not go any more wacky. I'm beginning to think Donald Trump Jr. is even more nut job than his daddy. You really have to question if these people really do want to win this election. For the record.....I haven't been able to find either of those tweets on Trumps twitter feed or Jr's twitter feed. That doesn't mean they weren't posted. They could have been deleted. But.... Jr was on Instagram https://instagram.com/p/BKMtdN5Bam5/
  21. The lowered the capacity last year by 1,100 last year http://www.ketv.com/news/unl-shrinks-memorial-stadiums-capacity-for-better-fan-experience/35182968 And the official attendance count is everyone in the stadium IIRC. Players, ushers, tv crew, concessions, media.
  22. Went to the Wyoming game and they were pretty loud and stood the whole time. Didn't notice that many leaving early. For the Fresno game there were filled all the way to the top (something that has been a problem recently)
  23. "Deplorable" is a good description of the "alt-right". Although I think "racists" might be a better one. Is 20% of the population "deploable"? Might be a little high (I hope), but its in the ballpark. Trump is pandering to these people. His campaign CEO runs the top website for these "deplorables". I would think that the most Rs would not want their party taken over by those people. (Just like I don't think that most Ds wanted their party taken over the Sanders wing.)
  24. Sigh... Lost Keenan Allen for the season. Lost my week 1 matchup by 0.6 points because the Rams D couldn't get 1 sack or 1 interception off of Blaine f'n Gabbert
