  1. There's nothing wrong with that feeing. But people need to slow down on the koolaid. Whatever bowl we go to will not be a "good bowl" In my humble opinion there are only 3 "good bowls" anymore. If you're not in the top 4 you won't play in any of them. That doesn't mean the others won't be fun.
  2. I'll take a bowl and the extra 2-3 weeks of practice that goes along with it.
  3. GameDay is always on SaturdayGamedaY is always on Sunday, Gameday is always on a day In some time zones Gameday is on a night.GameDay is.
  4. This^^^ You can punt them the same, but the grip is totally different. Babies are squishier.
  5. I cheated on my algebra finals my junior year. I'm sure the teacher had to know. I got a 98% on it. I never passed a test before that. Literally failed each and every one. I just didn't get it. One I got into college it finally clicked tho. Never got a score below 98% from algebra through geometry and trig.
  6. I think in the State of Iowa the word that would be used is "wandering" I guess when you only win 5 games all you can do is attempt to insult your undefeated opponent? Nah, it doesn't matter what Nebraska or Iowas record is. I always insult Iowa. It's just so easy to do.
  7. My son and I are going too....with at least a couple more layers than you mentioned :-) Going with my son and my best friend. I'm wearing my ice fishing gear. I can always strip down if I get too warm.
  8. I've had a beard for twenty years. I might shave it down to a goatee, chinstrap or some other style once in a while. I prefer a full beard in the winter for ice fishing. I last shaved in September sometime. Thinking about going for a personal record grow out this time. I'm thinking maybe 2 years or more this go round.
  9. I've been calling that shot all season. I don't know why, it's just a feeling I have. I think the Huskers have to play a good game and maybe catch a break or two, but they are very capable of beating Iowa.
  10. If Tommy shows a good amount of improvement in his mechanics and grasp of the offense then he will probably at least earn a shot. He is a bit rough around the edges, but when he is on he is pretty damn good. I think an off-season of tutoring from Langsdorf could go a long ways in his future.
  11. Umm, most of those guys weren't in the right position to be earning a scholarship offer right out of high school. The only one that showed any type of D-1 talent in high school was Janovich. Now, I give those guys a lot of credit for working hard since getting to NU, and many guys are late-bloomers, but most of them didn't deserve scholarship offers out of high school. I don't think TO offered scholarships to fullbacks. Most, if not all, of the great ones were walkons, weren't they?
  12. That makes no sense. If you lived in Iowa it would....exactly I do. And it doesn't.
  13. I'm sure a couple on here will blame all of this on Mike Riley.
  14. I suspect when Riley notches a nine win season or his 5th year at Nebraska, whichever comes first. So short answer: Not today and not next month. If that's the case I'll just chalk it up to someone not having a clue as to what he is talking about. Kinda like the "fire a new coach after 3 games" people. Complete maroons.
  15. Ugh, I hope is not an early game.
  16. Any scenario that would put Texas in a bowl game?
  17. At what point does this "square peg, round hole" bullsh#t get put to rest? When exactly is Riley allowed to institute his own system? I think the coaches have done a fine job of mixing it up. Eventually the entire roster will be Riley recruits. At some point the "old system" is going to have to be discarded so that the current coach can run his program.
  18. It's gonna be windy, but nothing like the Illinois game. Winds will diminish through out the game. Probably around 16 mph at Kickoff and about 11 mph towards the end of the game. I think winds were around 40 mph for the Illinois game. Quite a substantial difference than today's weather.http://m.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/graph/New+Brunswick+NJ+08901:4:US Still, wind = 40+ passing attempts and giving Rutgers the wind in the fourth Whatever, Chicken Little.

  20. I was hoping for a couple more commits this week, especially after the great atmosphere in Lincoln last Saturday.
  21. Good read. Don't know how to do the fancy quote stuff. Enjoy. http://m.omaha.com/huskers/chatelain-nu-must-dig-deeper-for-in-state-football-gems/article_922ad58e-0f33-5eee-9342-f02b35014592.html?mode=jqm
