  1. Kliff Kingsbury - would he leave Tech where he played? Go to a bigger program? Maybe not, his loyalty might be too strong with his alma mater. Fuente - Doubt he will be available Herman - He may still be at Houston as schools will be waiting on him to develop. Bob Stoops - Will he be wanted out in Norman? Might be time all parties part ways. Scott Frost - Welcome home. Narduzzi - Leave Pitt for a bigger program? Kirby Smart - Grade A defensive coordinator. Suprised he hasnt been named HC somewhere already.
  2. Well yes, those offenses are ridiculous right now. Baylor as well. But, I think our offense would look good against their defenses. Maybe it is because to me college football is so much about tradition, history and rivalries, and we just haven't been in the B1G long enough to develop any of that. But I miss the nostalgic feeling of the Big 12.
  3. Langsdorff has potential. Really don't think he has his personnel yet on the roster to show what he can do. Guy really helped Eli Manning in New York for the year he was there, and in the past has developed good QBs at Oregon State... Banker....Banker is awful. Was wanted out at Oregon State for years. Got outcoached year in and year out against the same PAC teams over and over.
  4. Not digging the B1G anymore...Don't get me wrong, I hated Dan Beebe, but now that he is gone, I think the conference would have been fine. Coincidentally Texas started being bad as soon as we left too. At the time the move to the B1G was exciting and sounded great to get out of the power control of Texas. But it doesnt seem Texas has that control anymore since Beebe left. And it is my understanding we currently don't see much if any of the B1G money yet? And wont until 2017 or something like that? I may be wrong here. But i dont know, miss the Big12. Feels more right to be there. Also i think the move to B1G has really hurt our recruiting, we no longer can appeal to Texas players, and we have to start our new pipelines into states already controlled by B1G powers like tOSU, Michigan, Penn State.
  5. learned there will be no bowl this year. Possibly remaining wins to Purdue and Rutgers. michigan state and Iowa are losses.
  6. This staff has only made two QBs who shouldn't have looked good look good. that is Mangum and the Northwestern QB. Kaaya is understandable, and sh#t me, I have already forgotten who the other team we lost to, been too many. But I think that QB was decent as well.
  7. It is mind boggling how Nebraska has not been able to recruit or produce a QB in such a long time. We had Taylor Martinez who threw like Uncle Rico. Armstrong who throws off his backfoot almost everytime. It's astonishing that there is no other options at a school like Nebraska.
  8. My guess is they are highly dissapointed in how the season is going. But I also guess they would say to give the coaching staff time, and would not be calling for their heads.
  9. This is not a current coaching issue....This is a Nebraska issue since Osborne left. I feel like we always make opposing QBs look like heisman candidates, especially when they come to Lincoln. There are so many over the past 15 years to name, but what stands out especially is the true freshman QBs who come into Lincoln and somehow look like mega stars. Am I the only one who feels this way? I always think to myself, "Oh this QB is a freshman, or the starter got hurt and the backup is coming into Lincoln and Memorial Stadium, hes going to get rattled".....I find myself being wrong a lot of the times.
  10. None of the former players (at least from the 90s) will go to social media and call out the coaching staff. That group is professionals and are of great class. They were coached that way.
  11. Think the quote is completely taken out of context here...He said he was 2 and not familiar with them? Ok...No one at that age would be familiar with them. I am sure he knows something about them, a quick google search and you can know the history of any team in CFB. But in actuality, yes, there is no way he could be familiar with them.
  12. The man had a work ethic like none other. Thank you Osborne for amazing childhood memories.
  13. comparing us to Iowa State? Not even close.
  14. Regardless of outcome of MSU game, I think it will be a close game...But Riley is good for one major upset a year..This would be the time to do it.
  15. Take some bad juju away from Nebraska. Thanks Michigan. Imagine though had that MSU player been tackled at the goaline......then there would be zero seconds left, everyone wuold have asked why he didnt go down to kick FG.
  16. keep MSU winning until they come to Lincoln November 7th. Perfect set up for Riley's big upset win of the season.
  17. 3-4....this win should give some momentum for Nebraska, meanwhile NW, the opponent next week is falling....Great chance for Nebraska to get a win next week as well!
  18. that has got to feel good for those guys...big win no matter the opponent. Great job at finding a way to close this one out, even though at times it looked like it was going to be a repeat. GOOD WIN CORNHUSKERS!!! one game at a time, looking at the remaining schedule, a bowl game is a great possibility.
  19. if i am minny i kick it deep this time aorund, because if we do get it we have great field position. And even if they stop us they will be pushed back to go the entire length of the field. of course with our luck they may just get this onside.
