  1. Bo liked stars but he liked his hunches better. Callahan was the best recruiter we have had after Tom left. We shall have to wait and see on Riley, but the pantry was ultimately bare for him.
  2. It all starts with the O line. Frank let it drift off into never land and it hasnt come back.
  3. He was in the spring game... Yes, I stated as much in my second paragraph. I underlined a sentence, it did not come out.. how did he play if he was not cleared. He must have been cleared to play at that point in time.
  4. Yeah, Jonathan Rose. He had some problems this year. On and off the field. Too bad about this. CB is a position where we can't afford to lose guys. no kidding that Rosen kid can throw
  5. No. He basically had "his team/guys" by year 4. And he failed miserably. I thought Bo did really well with Callahoot recruits. When he ran out of them is when he started the down hill spiral on run defense.
  6. Ding ding ding we have a winner. Do not forget that UCF went 0-12, plenty of work there
  7. OWH He still has a game, cant say much more, has to ride the horse that brought him there
  8. I think that UCLA will have no problem piling up points against NU's D. I think Rosen picks Banker's D apart. The only way NU keeps it close is if the offense keeps scoring with them, like NU did against Michigan State. There's no basis for thinking we'll get blown out. Thinking we'll lose, yes. Right. No basis whatsoever to think the Huskers will get blown out. Just like back in August when there was no basis whatsoever to think the Huskers would have a losing season. How do you figure? We hadn't played a game yet with the new staff. We haven't been blown out this year. We could get blown out by UCLA but nothing that has happened this season indicates that will happen. The Miami game was a blowout for 3 quarters, and then they went brain dead, and let NU back in it. Purdue was also a blowout, until NU put up some late points in the 4th quarter. It's a fallacy to say that NU wasn't blown out in any games this year. That shows spunk and desire,,fighting back
  9. Newby does not see the field, stutter steps instead of powering through a defender and goes down when hit the first time.
  10. Pelini couldnt stop the run after Crick and Suh left. Case closed.
  11. Didn't Callahan V.1 show that a pass happy, West coast style offense not fit I Lincoln? Looks like Callahan V.2 is doubling down on the stupid. It wasn't Callahan's offense that got him fired. One of the great fallacies is that Callahan ran an effective offense. More times than not, it was offensive failures that led to defensive blow ups. Sound familiar? Look at the Purdue game this year. Do you carry a little red mao book too? Go back and look at the stats from the Callahan years and early Bo years. It was the defense stupid.... Incorrect. Everything was wrong with Callahan V.1. Remember USC? CM is 100% correct. It's funny how those that militantly defend Callahan V.2 also seem to wax nostalgic about Billy C.V.1. Guess you arent interested in facts. shrugs. All you have to do is look.
  12. way too much sh#t to fix......7-5 would be about right. So if Nebraska had C.J. Beathard this year at QB what do you think NU's record is? I'm saying we are playing the the B1G championship game instead of Iowa Fix the QB and you fix this team YEAH that is the truth.

  14. OMG,,,does anyone think RIley is an idiot. Double or triple down, get some Juco's. Tommy talks a great talk but his 36 picks in 31 speaks volumes.
  15. "Probably not"?!?! How about, "Hell f'ing no!" Jesus, this guy went into the 2015 season thinking 5-7 was a real possibility. Nebraska is going to go anywhere until Charmin pulls his head out of his ass, starts benching malcontents, and shifts to a power-run offense that relies on the run to setup the pass, not the other way around. Nebraska doesn't have a ton of depth. A 5-7 season for a team with very little depth is ALWAYS a possibility if key players get hurt. Teams with little depth are similar to NFL teams. Look what's happened to the Patriots since Gronkowski got injured. Nebraska's depth is as good or better than almost every team in the conference. MSU had 3 true freshmen playing DB a lot of this year. People are flat wrong if they think NU wasn't talented enough to continue winning 9 or 10 games, at least, per year. If the players would have bought in before Michigan St, we likely would have won 10. It was a transition year ya know. Bad luck more than buying in
  16. We're really grasping for silver linings here if we're pointing at zero blowouts as a success when this team lost to Pur-f******-due. And it was 42-16 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The whole 4th quarter was garbage time. You're right. Through three quarters our defense gave up 6 touchdowns, on drives starting on their 23, our own 16, our own 22, their 20, their 16, and our 19. 21 of those 42 points came on turnovers with 22 or less yards to the endzone. New QB on the road, never started a game before had nothing to do with it, nor did his 4 turnovers. Right?
  17. psssss....the offense put the defense in bad field position many times. It is not as simple as adding up numbers. The defense played much better in the second half.
  18. Dont worry about OSU,,Beck will have time to totally destroy their QB's
  19. There really is no truth to the bolded, see Purdue and Illinois. If wonder boy does what the coach says, you could cross off the Illinois issue and if TA had been well enough to play,we would have only had two picks instead of four..cough cough..
  20. OMG,,KF was on the hotseat after last season. Their success is due to casting off a very average QB and replacing him. The difference between us and them is ball protection by the QB. One more pick and Tommy is tied for the most picks in football. Guess that game off helped out in that category.
