    So I guess we are getting 10"-18" of snow with 60 mph wind gusts here in western nebraska. This will not be fun.

      If you are from Omaha, western Nebraska starts at Lincoln.

      If you are from Lincoln, western Nebraska starts at Grand Island.

      If you are from Grand Island, western Nebraska starts at North Platte.

      If you are from North Platte, western Nebraska starts at Sydney.

      If you are from Sydney, western Nebraska starts at Wyoming.

      As someone who grew up in Western Nebraska, I agree with @The Murphinator; I've always considered the line for Western Nebraska to start at North Platte: North Platte to Grand Island/Hastings is Central Nebraska, and everything east of GI is Eastern Nebraska. 

       

      @The Dude It would have been more impressive had two people from Benkleman NOT known each other.

      Yep. I always thought it made sense for that to be the line because the time change occurred at North Platte.
