Here’s another way to look at it: Frost has been working with these high school kids, giving them his time, and giving them scholarships. What is he supposed to do now? Abandon them? Maybe he told them: “I’m not going to talk you into coming to Nebraska, but if you want to, I’ll still give you a scholarship as I promised you that I would before.” ^^^This could be the case, and if so, it seems fair. But, I understand where you’re coming from.

Meanwhile Mike Gundy does interviews with other schools with no intention of accepting the offers, but does it to get more money from his alma mater. I’m so glad we have a coach that is a good person with a heart.

I had no idea that Eichorst was possibly going full Jerry Jones with our football program, so some of this makes more sense now. My only fear after Frost was hired is where this program could trend in the future (post Scott Frost mind you), because there seems to be teeter totter effect in the administration. Example: Petersen takes us down, Osborne takes us up, Pearlman/Eichorst takes us down, Green, and Moos takes us up. Hiring Matt as associate AD has made me feel much better about our future. We CANNOT have one, or two corporate administration employees making boneheaded decisions anymore. We need to be united, on the same page. We’re not Tennessee, we’re Nebraska; Nebraska fans know better. When Solich was fired, a lot of fans wanted Bo; the administration didn’t listen, and hired Cahallan. The fans wanted Bo, and Bo did better. When Bo was fired, the fans wanted... not Riley, and the administration didn’t listen. When Riley was fired, the fans wanted Frost, and we can all agree that Frost will be better. Power to Nebraska fans. We’re second to none.

I think 5 million is enough; meaning, each one of those bonuses should be divided amongst the assistants.

I think Scott coaching is the right thing to do. It speaks volumes for Moos, too.

Good point(s). I feel that it’s a gamble. If UCF wins, it’ll be a good thing that he coached it. If UCF gets spanked/embarrassed, it’ll be a bad thing for him to coach it; just my opinion. I just hope they can keep it close, within spread.

But that would mean only 1 SEC team would be allowed to go to the playoffs...
