  1. I'm not sure what the game plan was but I'm not sure they relayed it to the players. I think it was the first maybe second td when OSU ran to their left. Watch Lamar Jackson. He looks like a kid who has never seen game action, but so did a lot of other players on other plays. It just looked like no common football knowledge was showing up on the field
  2. The real question is, is his son any good and will he transfer to Nebraska?
  3. Does a Pac 12 guy mean Riley gets another year?
  4. Raw talent.. meaning he was big and could move a little. He also probably played against lesser talent since he is from Canada. Would he have gotten better coaching at Alabama, yes. Would he be going against better competition in practice, yes. He would also have to beat out more talent on the depth chart. I really don't think he lacks the physical tools it's his mentality. He's had past teammates call him soft.
  5. Yes and I think it's a fair assumption. He probably wouldn't have seen the field at Alabama. He didn't go there so we will never know. I know he is an average linemen at best
  6. Well it was a joke but I could rephrase it by saying Davis Knevel hasn't panned out
  7. Only thing I think of when I see that list is "man Alabama dodged a bullet when Knevel signed here". As far as recruiting comparisons for Mike and Bo the one thing I haven't really said during Mike's tenure is "why the hell are we offering this kid?". Seemed to happen for at least 3 kids a year for Bo
  8. How come everyone keeps talking about Bo? TO is the real problem behind where the program is at right now. If he didn't retire we wouldn't even know who Bo Pelini is. TO should have just coached until he died on the sideline and his body was taken to heaven by a beam of light by the football gods. Be mad at TO.
  9. Ah ok. Thought it was strange because Kalu didn't tackle particularly well especially at the end of the game where Reed would have been a help with his physicality. I liked what I saw from Dismuke tho. He wasn't afraid to get his nose dirty and mix it up at the line of scrimmage. He looks like he needs to add 10 pounds or so.
  10. Did he get injured this week? Kalu started and at the end of the game Dismuke was playing. Kinda weird that all week they said they wanted to keep him involved and I don't recall seeing him play at all
  11. I think everyone needs to chill. My grandmother was a die hard cubs fan. The cubs went 108 years between world series wins. She died at the age of 97 2 years ago. She went that long and didn't get to see her team win the big one. Most of you should be lucky that the team you root for has had success. Eventually someone will lead Nebraska back to the top. Just enjoy the ride. It's a game.
  12. Ozigbo didn't run the greatest route. He should have been a little more flat. Where he was limited his ability to turn toward Tanner. If Tanner leads him it's probably picked anyway. Even Howard Griffith commented that it was a bad route. Also for the second time if Stanley Morgan blocks who he is supposed to block that guy doesn't make the play.
  13. Better weather? When was the last time Nebraska had a game canceled due to a hurricane? You also don't have to worry about being eaten by an alligator in Nebraska
  14. He did once on 3rd and short and we got burned for 17 yards
  15. His HS is usually pretty good in football. They have won 5 state titles although the last one was in 2000. It's in the biggest class in IN. I see ND and Iowa offered him and they usually have better safeties than we do.
  16. Ok.. Tanner threw a pick 6 but he also didn't drop two td passes and get a ball ripped out of his hands. Sedrick king needs not to see the field, he doesn't understand the concept of contain. Lamar Jackson is killing this defense because he can't cover or tackle. Can Dismuke play corner? He looked ok
  17. None of Minn national championships came in the "modern era" of football. 1960 was the last one. The last two before that Hiltler was moving across Europe. Then the ones before that I think Lincoln was giving a speech somewhere. Sorry my history gets a little foggy before 1940. They also haven't won a conference championship since 1967. Only way Nebraska relates to Minn is the fact that our coach is one of the few people old enough to maybe remember the last time Minn was a power
  18. I wasn't a top recruit but I didn't get a chance to watch a lot of 11 am games unless it was a Husker game because my coach was an ex-husker and would adjust sat morning practice. Probably not a lot of that happening for other kids out there. Probably have practice and then film study.
  19. Oh I didn't mean I wanted him I was just stating as a bears fan he will probably be avail at seasons end
  20. I think the team knows this could be the game that saves their coaches jobs. They will come out and play harder than they have all year. Huskers 21-17
