  1. The NT from York said yesterday he has not made it through NCAA clearinghouse yet. We should have went after Bryson anyway with that information.
  2. Actually if Frost can get this team to work hard and be mentally tough it would probably jump the program ahead two years. A mentally tough team this year would have finished at least 8-4 if not 9-3.
  3. Bowl Game next year Become the hunted in the West in 2 years B1G Championship game at least every other year. In 5 years a B1G championship and New Years big game and possibly a playoff spot. Like Teach said, this would have been the same with me with Solich through Riley
  4. There is probably a decent chance they get neither, if they slow played Wilson, that was a mistake. I heard Frost isn’t doing an in home because of UCF bowl prep.
  5. Sorry if already asked, is this guy any relation to Taylor?
  6. Here is an interesting question. When was the last time that the Huskers lost a coach in any sport that we didn't want to lose? I am not talking about retirement, but to another school or the Pro's. Baseball?
  7. My sister has talked about getting season tickets for a few years. She is afraid she can't afford them. I told her last year she should jump in now, because if they get better the prices will jump up and they might get a little harder to get. I told her she might be able to sell a couple of them to get closer to being able to pay for them. Is this true? This year, if we hadn't been losing, she could sell Wisky and get part of her money back. has this worked for anyone?
  8. I think this was really tough for him. I think he wanted to stay. If he could of he would rather Riley would have got it done for a few years. I was told through the grapevine from someone on his staff (could be wrong, it was a rumor) that he really wanted to be at UCF for at least 2 more years before moving to Nebraska. Nebraska I feel was the only gig that would move him out, maybe Oregon. I am sure he would rather had left after the bowl game. With the early signing date that was impossible.
  9. I have good friends that are boosters at Northern Illinois. They have lost a lot of coaches over that last decade and a half that have been successful and moved on to P5 jobs. I asked how they deal with losing all of these coaches. They told me they know the deal. As long as they are good, people will take their coaches. If we have bad teams we get to keep our coaches for years and we keep losing. Which would you prefer. Our role is to upset P5 teams, go to bowl games, and supply head coaches to bigger schools, who in turn pay us. It is not a bad deal. I think it is an interesting assessment of the how things are for these lower tier schools.
  10. USF can't be too upset. He kept two coaches there that could be on the road recruiting for us. He is bringing his whole staff to coach the bowl game. I am OK with it during the dead period., but it would be a nice time for rest and family time. If you USF is so upset they could not let him coach the bowl game and let their new staff deal with it. Things suck in these situations. Take the 12-0 and renewed interest in your team and back your new coach. He could do great things in Orlando.
  11. Considering a monkey with chalk and a chalkboard could have done the job at DC just as well, I am going to give the guy a chance and time.
  12. Our S&C staff was told they would be employed until the end of the month. I am sure UCF's staff won't come until 2nd semester. As I understand it, that is how these things work.
  13. It has to be tough on Parrella. All of those lettermen back for the press conference, and I am sure he wasn't invited. He will be fine, but I feel bad for him.
  14. Cut the guy some slack, they said he hadn't slept for two days!
  15. Russia should just join the SEC. Their bad behavior would just get overlooked.
  16. I think it is important that coaches have the people around them they trust and respect, more importantly that they are on the same page with in the program. You only have to look at the people who were forced on the last HC to see how that can turn out. My son's coach coached at Ohio U. for 10 years and has a son who coaches for a D 1 program now. He said the most important thing in a staff is trust and being on the same page.
  17. I am the coach is thinking, I was just in Florida and now I am in the middle of a snow storm. (thinks to self: focus on the money, focus on the money)
  18. Mom and family are big Husker fans. Mom is from GI. I believe Huskers have always been part of his life. He was born in Nebraska and moved to Rockford when he was young. Problem is that he has seen himself at Wisky for a while. Who knows?
  19. I thought rumor was the Washington OC was coming.
  20. On that we 100% agree. People wanting to expand this baby to 8 should know that SEC schools will have the reason to never play anyone good. Expand to 8 and we may have seen two of the at large bids go to SEC schools. 8 in would have brought 3 SEC schools.
